THATS the power of Latina Sisterhood this weekend was so healing for me sharing our stories over dinner made me realize how so alike the women of @planetaeclectix are, and how we can connect the dots between our experiences, even though they’re all different as an adopted latina, i thought i was the only one who struggled with identity issues, pero 5 minutos con ellas y me di cuenta que no estoy sola 🥹 and it made me feel so much better. We were in the same room as top executives, founders, business owners, and creators who are making $18,000-$150,000 off of one brand deal. US Latinas, also have a place in these rooms. This weekend reminded me how important this community is and how fortunate we all are to have each other 🩷 todos estamos aquí, porque creemos que merecemos lograr los sueños grandiosos que tenemos, y la importancia de estar presentes en este tipo de espacios, y representar la gente y las voces de nuestras comunidades. July adventures! My mission for my Crafty Chica business has been to share creativity through positivity. It’s the best feeling to make a living by connecting with people all over the world through art, entrepreneurship, advocacy. All while still staying true to family and close friends. ❤️‍🔥 To think I started this journey 25 years ago. I had NO idea where it would take me, all I knew was I didn’t want to live a clocking-in life. I wanted stories and lots of memories and to meet other hyper-creatives. It took, and still takes, sacrifices to make it all come together, but I’m here for it! 🙌🏽 In one of these photos, I’m wearing a ring from my dad, and another from my mom. It’s become routine. Right before I step on stage, board a plane, or even just going to get coffee, I rub my finger across the backs of the gold bands for comfort. I wish I could tell them in person about all the places I’ve been. I always wanted to them to be proud of me. Then again I feel like they are with me and they already know. Anyway, July was a blast! I spent a lot of it in Los Angeles and met up with friends, then worked on two separate campaigns with @TikTok. DeAngelo’s birthday, our Amor Collective photo shoot, TV segments, learned how to throw clay on a wheel, Maya’s visit home. I made the viral Krispy Kreme donut trend, had a cousin craft night. You should see how thick my junk journal is now! EXCITED FOR AUGUST! Ok, gotta go clean out the garage, have a great week!
