FYI - everything I make is political. Nothing I make is neutral. I am a human being interdependent with the natural world. Everything is connected. I pull threads to show it. That's what my art is.
1. All images I create depicting Black/Brown women are designated funds to @thelovelandfoundation
2. Some items direct funds to @wckitchen
3. I have a section of my shop "Fundraiser Items KS Immigration Coalition" for all proceeds from those items to assist immigrant communities in Kansas

Limited edition hand pulled prints are now live in the shop! I'll be posting more this week, but let's start with her. This is Luna Moth. She is the largest carve I've ever done. She is wise and free and resilient and I love her. I hope you do too. Klink in blinko ✌🏽💖

Hi 👋🏼❣️ Just a brief introduction to some of my new followers -
I'm Jan and this account mostly focuses on my creative art, PeaceMealArt. Of course you'll also see lots of Mitzi Mae, my Chief Ween Officer (the title changes at her whim). She's my chiweenie and often my inspiration. 🐕 I live in Kansas 🌻 and make mixed Media acrylic art on canvas focused on healing and affirming images and words. I often use poetry or lyrics in my work, sometimes even a tarot card pull. Color is queen in my world! Color is medicine. It is life. It is my favorite means of expression! I also LOVE working with paper! 💌 I make loads of one of a kind - no prints ever - greeting cards fit for framing or displaying. Collage elements feature heavily in how I create, using bits of elements, stamps, paper, hand-coloring, washi, etc to make a sentiment meaningful. ✨
I'd love for you to follow me here, on Etsy and at #peacemealart 🎨 Say hi and ask any questions you like! Visit my website and watch my Process videos, too! Thanks so much for following 🫶

The expansion of fabric printing in my studio has been inspired by the natural world around me. Including my own little bunny muse. #peacemealart #wichitaart #ksmade #kansasartist #handprint by @janreckers

🚨NEW PRINT!!!🚨This stylized Scarab Beetle with a fiery red sun symbolizes resurrection and regeneration. Much like the phoenix, it arises out of the earth, defying death and destruction. Unlike the pheonix though, it's rebirth follows the cycles of the sun. Let this print be a reminder of our eternal capacity to renew life. THANKS TO @theunfurlinglotus for the inspiration and prompting on this one. 🖤

Sometimes the breakdown comes in the studio in the middle of a carve when the Amazon delivery gets f*cked yet again. Eclipse energy is eclipsing. Dolly. Tim. Nepal. Wild horses. Attachment wounds bearing their teeth in the let-go season. Ego death and butterflies. Scarab beetles and Dachshund eyes. Begging. Don't just let go. Give it. Give your blood, you'll make more. Deluge of deluge. Spill the tears, they'll let you float. Name the pain. The fear. The what-ifs can get washed away too. Fairness is sitting right there next to unfair, how do I hold that? How am I supposed to hold that? Loosely. Let the waters of this precious, sacred world move me in tune with my own heartbeat. by @janreckers

The impossibly talented @hannahleescott is Mitzi's favorite artist. She's even been immortalized by Hannah. But this fun risograph is now hanging above Mitzi's sofa. Mitzi has excellent taste. ✨🐕 by @janreckers
