JX Matsuri 2026 🎌🎪✨ What a day! From the games and prizes to the food, music, community booths, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us, this inaugural JX Matsuri was something truly special! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this event possible, @niseiweek @littletokyotabletennis our sponsors, community partners, vendors, DJs, @asian_nation volunteers, Weller Court, the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, and every organization and individual who contributed their time, resources, creativity, and energy. JX Matsuri was created with a simple goal: bring people together through Japanese American culture, entertainment, and community while creating something that the next generation can call their own. Seeing Little Tokyo filled with people playing carnival games, discovering organizations, meeting new friends, winning prizes, dancing to music, and simply having fun made all of the work worth it. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who showed up. Whether you played one game, volunteered all day, sponsored a booth, donated a prize, performed, shared our posts, or brought your family and friends — you were part of JX Matsuri. This was a community effort from beginning to end, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for making the first ever JX Matsuri one to remember. ❤️ See you next year! 🎌 “Polka dots can’t stay alone, like the communicative life of people. The first-ever "JX Matsuri" was lively and vibrant at Weller Court, home to Marukai Market Little Tokyo and Astronaut Ellison S. Onizuka St, which recently welcomed Kinokuniya Los Angeles @kinokuniyala (Little Tokyo). Young Japanese American leaders from JX (@japancrossover) and Little Tokyo Table Tennis (@littletokyotabletennis) held the carnival-style “JX Matsuri” during Nisei Week.     Have you heard of JX?   It is the Entertainment Subcommittee of the L.A. Next Generation Japanese American Leaders Initiative in partnership with the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles!  They revived the spirit of the Nisei Week Carnival by bridging generations and community organizations such as ＠jflalc, @eastwestplayers, @terasaki.budokan, @pocarisweatusa, @littletokyoflorist, @babystar_usa, @lahwatuhanafudaclub, and @wearuprisers 二世週祭中、Japan Crossover（JX）とLittle Tokyo Table Tennisは、「JX祭り」を初開催し、 Marukai Market Little Tokyo などが入るウェラーコートや、紀伊国屋リトル東京店のあるAstronaut Ellison S. Onizukaストリートは大いに賑わいました。 Special thanks for the photos: @love_chu and @sean_mac taken in Weller Court, Little Tokyo, L.A. by @japancrossover

It all started on One Summer’s Day ☀️🎟️ Memories like these are made by communities like us. ありがとうございます to everyone! From our sponsors and community partners to every organization, business, vendor, and in-kind donor who contributed their time, resources, products, prizes, food, and creativity; thank you for believing in what we were building. What made JX Matsuri special wasn’t simply the games, the stamp rally, music or prizes. It was seeing so many different parts of our community come together: longtime Little Tokyo institutions, local small businesses, Japanese brands, DJs, cultural organizations, and a new generation of community leaders, all sharing the same space and creating something for everyone to enjoy. For our first JX Matsuri, your generosity allowed us to create an event that celebrated both the traditions that make Little Tokyo special and the new ideas, people, and culture that continue to shape its future. To everyone who sponsored, donated, participated, collaborated, volunteered, made an introduction, or simply said “yes” when we asked for help: thank you. We are incredibly grateful to have built JX Matsuri alongside all of you. JX Matsuri 2026 was a community effort—and this community showed up. ❤️ With gratitude, The JX Matsuri Team Special thanks to: Gold Sponsor Henry Ota Silver Sponsors @aihara_associates insurance services @yamasushimarketplace Community Sponsors @kouraku_littletokyo @asian_nation @babystar_usa @littletokyotabletennis (LTTT) Sierra Madre Issei Memorial Participating Brands, Organizations & Supporters @niseiweek @niseiweekplaza @aniplexusa @calpico.usa @aiyamatcha @oaklandfortunefactory @japangeles @jmoreyins @analogphotomart Anime Market Place @luxhumansla @kaminarigyozabar @pocarisweatusa Marukai @midorimatcha @mymochi @tokyohaus.sushi @cafedulcela @jflalc @orochonramenla Nishi Wanjettes @soragumi.co @saltandstraw @eastwestplayers @lahwatuhanafudaclub @sharptea.la @marimixsnacks @bunkado_ltla @bowls @wurstkuche @weshare_records @littletokyoflorist @monsterpatroltoys @mr.ramen.dtla @tenkaippin_usa @weareuprisers @littletokyorunclub @terasaki.budokan @ltsc.cdc taken in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles by @japancrossover

🏓 JX MATSURI RECAP: LTTT @littletokyotabletennis brought the energy to JX Matsuri! 🏓🎌 From challenging friends at the tables to trying your luck at their Ball Scoop carnival game, LTTT created a space where everyone from kids to parents could jump in, play, and connect. And if you were there, you might have gotten your hands on something extra special: the exclusive Little Tokyo Table Tennis + @niseiweek + JX hats, available only at JX Matsuri! 🧢🔥 A little piece of Nisei Week history made especially for the day. What started around the ping pong table has grown into something much bigger. Little Tokyo Table Tennis continues to give people another reason to gather in Little Tokyo, whether it’s to play a few games, vibe with new people, or simply spend time together in a inclusive and welcoming community. A huge thank you to @jiro.j.m @zbluem and the Little Tokyo Table Tennis crew for continuing to create spaces where new friendships can start over something as simple as the energy from picking up a paddle. That same spirit is what JX Matsuri is all about, celebrating the people and organizations keeping Little Tokyo active, fresh, welcoming, and connected. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who stopped by, played a round, grabbed a hat, and helped make the day unforgettable! 📸 Credits to: @love_chu & @sean_mac #JXMatsuri #LittleTokyoTableTennis #NiseiWeek #LittleTokyo JapaneseAmerican taken in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles by @japancrossover
