The first-ever "JX Matsuri" was lively and vibrant at Weller Court, home to Marukai Market Little Tokyo and Astronaut Ellison S. Onizuka St, which recently welcomed Kinokuniya Los Angeles @kinokuniyala (Little Tokyo). Young Japanese American leaders from JX (@japancrossover) and Little Tokyo Table Tennis (@littletokyotabletennis) held the carnival-style “JX Matsuri” during Nisei Week.     Have you heard of JX?   It is the Entertainment Subcommittee of the L.A. Next Generation Japanese American Leaders Initiative in partnership with the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles!  They revived the spirit of the Nisei Week Carnival by bridging generations and community organizations such as ＠jflalc, @eastwestplayers, @terasaki.budokan, @pocarisweatusa, @littletokyoflorist, @babystar_usa, @lahwatuhanafudaclub, and @wearuprisers 二世週祭中、Japan Crossover（JX）とLittle Tokyo Table Tennisは、「JX祭り」を初開催し、 Marukai Market Little Tokyo などが入るウェラーコートや、紀伊国屋リトル東京店のあるAstronaut Ellison S. Onizukaストリートは大いに賑わいました。  JXは、当館と密に連携している「L.A. Next Generation 日系リーダー・イニシアティブ」のエンターテインメント分科会です。若手の日系リーダー達は、伝統ある「Nisei Week Carnival」の精神を復活させるべく、様々な世代や日系コミュニティ団体をつなぎ、今回の開催に至りました。  このイベントに協力団体として参加したのは、国際交流基金ロサンゼルス事務所、リトル東京の老舗劇団East West Players、そして、テラサキ武道館。さらに、ベビースターでおなじみのおやつカンパニーやポカリスウェットを提供する大塚製薬、ライフスタイルブランドのUprisersなども名を連ねました。  Special thanks for the photos: @love_chu and @sean_mac

Weekend dump, Healing and practicing Slowing down. Taking it one day at a time. 🖤 Sometimes you need to just exist without a plan, without a show to run, without a room to hold together. Just you, your thoughts, and the city moving around you. I walked, I ate, I sat with the heavy parts and let them breathe. I laughed, really laughed , family, the baby who’s not a baby anymore , people who remind me that joy still lives here. I danced until my body remembered it was alive and my feet hurt . This life? It's the one younger me only dreamed of. I'm not wasting another second pretending it's not happening. Grounded, Grateful, Growing. To many more new adventures. To the ones who make it all worth it.
