Early mornings at Les Jardins de Villa Maroc begin quietly. The first light through the olive trees, coffee poured by the pool, warm bread on the table and nowhere to be just yet.

Breakfast stretches into another cup. The sun climbs a little higher. Plans, if there were any, can wait.

L&L at Les Jardins de Villa Maroc

A late September wedding in the countryside outside Essaouira, bringing together the gardens, long tables, Moroccan food and music, and a celebration that carried on well into the night.

Weddings here are deliberately personal. We shape each celebration around the couple, the season and the property itself: from the ceremony and flowers to dinner, music and the days spent together before and after.

For L&L, that meant taking over Les Jardins de Villa Maroc for a few days with their closest friends and family, with the celebrations extending into Essaouira for an evening of drinks on the rooftop at @villamaroc. The wedding itself unfolded back at Les Jardins: a ceremony in the gardens, dinner beneath the trees, and a very full dance floor to finish.

Our first wedding of the season, and a rather special way to begin.

The Main House, reimagined.

After nine months of renovation, a new chapter begins at Les Jardins de Villa Maroc.

Rebuilt almost entirely from within, the Main House brings together six new suites, shared living and dining spaces, a private heated pool and its own garden. An intimate, adults-only space within the wider grounds of Les Jardins de Villa Maroc.

Throughout the house, traditional Moroccan craftsmanship meets a quieter, contemporary approach. Hand-laid zellige, tadelakt walls, natural materials and pieces made by local artisans reflect the colours and textures of the Essaouira countryside.

Guests of the Main House can enjoy breakfast in the privacy of the house or at our restaurant, while the gardens and remaining facilities of Les Jardins de Villa Maroc are theirs to discover.
