Sometime back we met the wonderful people at @nnsc_____, and it was through one of their events that we first came across artists @jarrypitboi47 and @permikwaali.

Fast forward a couple months, we had the privilege of dressing them in pieces from our SS’25 range for The Listening Experience hosted by @nnsc_____ at @one_park_cpt, celebrating the collaborative album, Amongst the Pigeons, by @jarrypitboi47 & @permikwaali.

"Clothes are just the beginning, it’s about the people you move with, the culture you create, and the community you lift."

AMONGST THE PIGEONS: A Spotlight Feature by Sivuyile Genu

Being a journalist has its perks sometimes. When we got given an exclusive early listen to @jarrypitboi47 and @permikwaali's upcoming collaborative album, AMONGST THE PIGEONS, our music writer Sivu did what he does best and put pen to paper to write a deep-dive review of the project.

Read the full article at the link in our bio, and keep your eyes out for the music video for the second single from the project, STUNT DOUBLES, dropping this Sunday evening

“When introducing me they always start with none other, a couple tried to steal my sound but that’s just stunt doubles”

We at VERVE are proud to announce the latest album from @jarrypitboi47 and @permikwaali

AMONGST THE PIGEONS

The first collaborative project to come from the duo of Jarry Pitboi and Permi Kwaali - an album the Cape Town Hip Hop scene never knew it needed until now

Blending the mellifluous production of Permi Kwaali's sample-based beats with the raw, visceral lyrics of Jarry Pitboi, the project weaves a cinematic narrative of life in the city.

Keep an eye on our feed for the next couple weeks for more teasers from the album, and be sure to listen to the two singles already released, I WILL RETURN and STUNT DOUBLES - new music video this Sunday at 8pm
