Funny how much can change when you just take a chance with something completely out of your comfort zone 🙏🏼

From my first King’s Academy event to the most recent one... different places, new friendships, a whole lot of growth and some freaking good memories.

I definitely didn’t know where saying yes would take me when I first started, but I’m really glad I didn’t listen to other people’s opinions about the online space and just committed.

Being surrounded by like minded people who push me, encourage me and genuinely want to see me succeed has been unmatched. This community has definitely created some of the biggest growth in me and is one of the best things I’ve done for myself.

Sometimes you’ve just got to go for it and see what happens.

public service announcement that just because bad things happen, doesn’t mean you fail

I’ve had friendships end, jobs fall through more often than I’d have liked, people leave, plans change, felt completely lost and wondered why life never seemed to go the way I’d imagined

looking back now, it actually makes me smile because every single one of those moments pushed me somewhere I never would’ve gone if life had stayed comfortable

being able to say I moved to cairns, working on the great barrier reef, I get to skate to work, catching sunrises whenever I can, am building online businesses and met people who genuinely feel like home… those are memories I’ll hold close for the rest of my life

but the big thing is, I’m still figuring life out. I still have hard days. except I’ve realised something… not every setback is there to stop me. sometimes it’s quietly redirecting me towards a life that’s so much more “me” than the one I was trying so hard to hold onto

maybe that’s why I get more excited over rainbows, turtles, spontaneous road trips and mornings by the ocean than expensive handbags or having the latest thing. at the end of the day, memories have always felt like a better investment

so if you’re in one of those seasons where everything feels like it’s falling apart… keep going.

one day you’ll probably look back and realise the thing you were desperately trying to hold onto was the exact thing that was leading you somewhere even better. then you’ll smile and think… “thank goodness that didn’t work out” taken in Cairns, Queensland by @jaslindley

Meet Jesse and Keely, an absolute power couple 👏🏼

One of my favourite things about being in the online space is hearing how differently everyone ended up here.

Jesse was following different accounts with people who had the same car as him when the opportunity basically fell into his lap.
Keely definitely wasn’t looking for an online business. She was working in childcare and, even though she was supportive of Jesse’s decision, she was very much hoping he’d stop bringing up the idea for working online.

One random connection through Instagram ended up opening a completely different door for both of them. They didn’t start knowing what to do. They had doubts and many questions but gave themselves the chance to find and figure it out as they went.

Now they’re both working online full time, and some of their biggest rewards in this isn’t actually the business. It’s the people they’ve met, friendships they’ve created, the opportunities and experiences they’ve achieved by saying yes to an opportunity they had no experience towards.

Don’t look at this video thinking I’ve had a boy break my heart recently… incorrect 😂

I’ve had more guys ghost me than I can probably count, and I’ve had past boyfriends be scared of me cheating only for it to turn out they were the cheaters 🫣

But that was a longggg time ago. These days I’m focusing on me, and somewhere along the way I’ve found a version of myself I probably never would’ve became if everything had gone the way I once wanted it to.

I’m happier, more independent, more adventurous and so much more sure of who I am and what I want out of my life.

I’m still single and doing my own thing and I’m actually really happy with the life I’m creating.

A relationship is going to be a nice addition one day, but it’s definitely not the thing I’m waiting on to make my life good 💛 taken in Cairns, Queensland by @jaslindley

You know what, I love love LOVE photo albums.

Whenever I go home, I could happily sit there for the longest time going through ours, reminiscing and being grateful for all the moments mum and dad thought to capture.

I think that’s why I take so many photos and videos. I’d rather capture too much of my life than one day wish I had more to look back on, because I know I’d regret not taking them. taken in Cairns, Queensland by @jaslindley

A lot of people might look at the online space and think it isn’t for them. Maybe they’re too scared to start, don’t know enough about it yet, or maybe they’re sitting there thinking the whole thing sounds like a scam.

Except the funny thing is, most of us were in that exact same position when we first started.

We didn’t know what we were doing or have all the answers, coming from completely different careers, backgrounds and walks of life... but we just decided to jump in and learn as we go.

Now we have a community around us, free modules to learn from, constant support, mentors whose guidance is literally sitting in our inboxes whenever we need it, and a room full of people figuring it out alongside us.

You don’t need to already know how to do everything before you start. That’s kinda the whole point of learning, and also a lot of the fun towards it as well.

So, meet some of the people behind Kings Academy 👑
