Birthday celebrations 2026 are officially over! A huge thank you to everyone who braved the diva antics and for the cards and pressies. And the annual birthday poem of course @janeaeroplane. And, mostly thank you for being my people, indulging the nonsense and coming out to party with me 🎊🎉 by @jasminathwal

Happy mother's day to Jeet who is always the most glamorous of us alll!!

But also to the people who are in the midst of being mums to young kids where you largely feel like you are getting it wrong - interspersed with moments of pure joy.

To the mums (like me) of neurodiverse kids where every minute can be a battle but at the same time they are so amazing that you can't quite breathe.

To the mums that have lost children (also me) either during pregnancy or after. When you are a mum without your child the grief often surprises you with its ferocity when you are least expecting it.

And of course to the people who would give anything to be mums but it's just not happening.

And lastly, to the people who have lost their mums. This is two of my siblings and some really good friends. And through them I know that it's like a part of your heart has been ripped out and will never be replaced.

It's complicated, I have spent a lot of it laughing with joy with my family, some of it navigating JD Sports on Oxford Street because my kid needed new trainers (always order online - never do this) and some of it crying on the tube!! That what it is right? by @jasminathwal
