Day of eco-printing and processing natural fibres and dyes

It’s Lions Gate and eclipse season.
Handle with care!
We just had a solar eclipse, the next one comes at the end of the month, and Lions Gate carries on through the 17th. The intensity has been building since the shadow period began in mid-July.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if I could pick a time each year to draw away from human interactions and the outside world and just go into the woods like the old hag witch that I am…this would be it !
This might be contrary to what you’ve seen online but to me this is the time to put your manifesting wand away!! and observe
its a time that, even for those who don’t understand much of what’s going on in the sky, will feel it. And it’s a time that reinforces my love for the ancient science because, without fail, every single year at this time, friends from east to west, north to south, message me

Lives get flipped upside down
Decisions and life choices get questioned
Old wounds and insecurities resurface
Triggers come up
The veil is being lifted from our eyes
We are emotionally and physically drained
…So if this is you, walk with me for a bit.
The more we are aware, the better we’ll navigate this.
I often compare this time to looking both ways before crossing the street and then getting hit by a truck anyway. Because usually, things will come out of seemingly nowhere, but if we pause, it’s probably issues that have been nagging at us or looming over us for quite a while, asking to be acknowledged but that is simply easier to avoid than to face.

Alphonso 🤍 🐿️
Facebook created a little memory video for me, and I thought he deserved a permanent place on the grid.

Found him 4 years ago,
He was inside my RV when it was delivered…I could imagine the little mom kilometres away coming back with breakfast she went to forage and finding that her home and baby were gone…I mean call Pixar, my heart is shattered!!!

I had him for a few weeks,
drank lots of kitten formula,
ate lots of nuts and salads
Banana,his favourite
Sunbathed and played
until he was strong enough to feed on his own and could go to a rescue centre where he would socialize and learn from others so he could be released into the wild and live a happy little life.

I named him after my grandpa Alphonse, who took care of a little squirrel that got hurt on our maple farm when I was little, he had it for years!

The last picture is of me saying goodbye to him before handing him over to the rescue person. He looked me straight in the eyes, calmly, with his little semblance of a smile
What a precious little life!

Taking care of animals is truly one of the best things in the world, and I will never understand people who can hurt them or disregard their lives.

P.S. give them a house outside so they keep out of yours!

If you have a squirrel problem on your property where they are getting in and destroying things, getting rid of them is not going to help long-term. New ones will just keep coming! Why? Because you’re lucky enough to have a property and trees that are desirable to them.
So, the best thing to do …is give them a house!
That’s all they are trying to do anyways! build and gather things to make a home/nest.
There’s so many places you can buy squirrel houses and nesting supplies now and they are so fun to have around and observe!
Plus,because most squirrels are fiercely territorial over their homes, your resident squirrel will actually keep other rival squirrels away from your yard.

Always work with nature, not against it, because we are lucky enough to live somewhere where nature also desires to be! Isn’t that amazing? 🌿✨
