A cake that truly came to life. 🤍

@jasminebrison and I had the pleasure of creating this incredible wedding cake for this amazing newlywed couple, @marieliroy @steverich9 🌱🍒🌸🌼🪻!!!

I’ve known this beautiful bride for more than i can remember and getting to create her wedding cake felt incredibly special. What started through countless inspiration talks, ideas, little details and “what if we…” moments slowly became this🤍

A celebration of the season, filled with fresh seasonal flowers, beautiful fruits, and all the little details coming straight from my backyard greeneries 🌱🌸🍓

Inside, layers of fresh raspberry curd, delicate French custard, and a little secret crunch because every beautiful cake deserves a surprise. ✨

And one of my favourite details: the custom cake board was made especially for this cake by her husband, @steverich9 . He gifted it to us, and it was such an incredibly thoughtful touch. It made the cake feel even more personal and meaningful 🫶🏽✨🪵

This one will definitely stay close to my heart. 🤍

Many people think they are not musical.
They just haven’t met their comPANion yet.
🛸
Seven years ago,
Jasmine heard the handpan for the first time.
🎶
At a sunset in Agonda…
just passing by.
🎵
She paused.
Listened.
And said—
“I want to try this.”
🎶
But life happened.
Time passed.
Covid came.
🎼
And for seven years…
she didn’t touch the instrument once.
🌞
Only the feeling stayed.
🎶
Until one day,
we met again. Randomly.

And I asked her,
“Have you played the handpan?”

She said, “No.”

Seven years… and still waiting.

I told her—
come for one session.
That’s enough.
🐛
When she finally touched the instrument…
it was already there.

Not learning.
Not figuring out.

Just remembering.

I told her—
“This is already inside you.
Don’t run from it.

You and this handpan…
are already in conversation.”

And she stayed.
She listened.
She played.

And somewhere in that space…
she found her comPANion.
🦋
This is not about learning an instrument.
This is about finding your sound.

People don’t come to music from the same door.
But many of them meet at sound.

Many people come to me and say,
“I am not musical.”
🎶
I always find that sentence interesting, because I don’t think music belongs only to musicians. I feel music is much more natural than that. We hear rhythm in walking, in breathing, in waves, in birds, in day and night, in seasons. Music is already around us and inside us.
🌈
I was never a formally trained musician either. I grew up listening to Indian classical music, spending a lot of time in nature, listening more than learning. Around 10 years ago I played my first note on a handpan, and that one note slowly changed my relationship with music and instruments.
🐛
Over the years, while sharing the handpan with so many people, I have seen something beautiful again and again — people who believed they were not musical slowly start playing, listening, smiling, and finding their own sound.
🦋
That is what exPANssion STORIES is.
🛸
Not performances.
Not perfect playing.
But journeys of people discovering their sound, their rhythm, and their expression.
✨
Many people think they are not musical.
They just haven’t met their instrument yet.
🛸
If this thought has ever crossed your mind, maybe it’s time to begin your journey too.

Soupe-salade entrées 🥬🥕🧅🧄🍠

A soup and a salad will always make a meal feel complete because it hits every part of your palate.
Last weekend, I did a massaged kale salad with a garlic + golden raisin infused vinaigrette, finished with pomegranate, pistachios, and a crunchy pumpkin-seed breadcrumb. Every bite was sweet, savoury, crunchy, fresh.

And then a cream of pumpkin soup loaded with aromatics and roasted veggies: silky, earthy, and super comforting.
The two together? Perfect balance. One wakes your palate up, the other grounds you ✨

Solstice d’Hiver & Yule ✨

We would like to thank everyone who has come down to Take-A-Paws puppy yoga classes this year, we’ve now sent our first donation to the incredible @animalshelteragonda who are helping animals in desperate need.

In Agonda, South India, many of the dogs starve when the tourists leave for the rainy season. Our donation will help fund ASA’s monsoon feeding programme, as well as pay for operations, rabies vaccinations, medicines and kennels.

Swipe to see more of ASA’s wonderful work ♥️
