Can’t believe this day is here.🥲😩 The artwork and the title of my debut MEDITATION ALBUM.

✨ 💿 MINDFULNESS IN CHALLENGING TIMES 💿✨ a soul-infused meditation experience rooted in the practice of mindfulness meditation.

🧘🏾‍♀️🪐🌱✨🔥❤️‍🔥

This project has been a 2-year labor of love and healing. Two years ago, I experienced one of the darkest periods of my life. In the wake a freshly brewing pandemic, George Floyd, and layers of heartbreak, I found myself feeling broken, confused and deeply depressed—unsure of what to do next. In the midst of those dark times, I discovered the practice of mindfulness meditation. With the guidance of my teacher & guru (who first taught me that: everything in the 🧠 is workable) this practice, and the wisdom it brought me, saved my life.

From that experience of feeling at rock bottom to finding my way back home, I put out the ultimate, yet most simple intention: to help others heal.

The irony is there were several points while birthing this album when I thought it was too late. “the pandemic will be over before I finish.” “the hard times will be done soon. there’s no point.” “the challenging times will be over.” All I can do is laugh at the Universe for continuing to prove me wrong, especially when I’m doubting myself. To this day, we continue to navigate a pandemic, civil unrest, and so much more. My hope is that this musical meditation journey will help others go from feeling confused or lost, to developing clarity, strength, and stability in challenging times.

Even as I share this with you right now, with an inner light stronger than ever and a healed heart, I know that healing is not linear and that there will still be many seasons where this album continues to remind me who I am and what I have inside. And I hope that’s what it gives you, too. 🌱🙏🏾 You can always begin again.

Streaming everywhere 4.22.22. 🤘🏾🎧❤️‍🔥🧘🏾‍♀️ #MindfulnessInChallengingTimes #TheAlbum

i’m realizing that sometimes what feels like a missed opportunity is actually divine protection. sometimes the delay is preparation. and sometimes the very thing you thought passed you by comes back around when you’re finally ready to receive it.

there’s something so freeing about remembering that what’s meant for you doesn’t require you to chase it at the expense of your peace.

God’s timing is no accident. and just because something hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it isn’t happening for you.

maybe faith isn’t always about believing you’ll get exactly what you prayed for. maybe it’s trusting that God knows what you need, even when it looks different from what you imagined.

a reminder to myself, and maybe to you too: you haven’t missed your moment. 🤍

i’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much of our lives we spend trying to separate things that were never meant to be separate.

the joy from the grief.
the gratitude from the uncertainty.
the ambition from the exhaustion.
the becoming from the letting go.

as if we have to resolve one feeling before we’re allowed to experience another.

but the truth is that wholeness isn’t the absence of complexity. it’s the capacity to make room for all that we are and all that life asks us to hold. that’s what integration has been teaching me.

and maybe that’s where a deeper kind of gratitude lives. not in everything going right, but in learning to recognize what’s beautiful even when everything isn’t.

if you’ve been navigating your own season of becoming, i’ve created an integration worksheet to help you reflect on the different parts of yourself, what you’re holding, and what might be asking for more room in your life.

comment integration and i’ll send it to you. 🤍

can’t remember the last time i folded down so many pages in a book. 🥹

i’ve been feeling an inner reckoning lately that i don’t quite have all the words for yet. but somehow, so many of the passages in what i’m currently reading have found the words for me.

sharing a few of my favorites in case they find you at the right time, too. 📖

i don’t know if anyone else has been moving through life with a heavier heart lately. feeling the pull toward something new, while still trying to make sense of everything that brought you here. questioning what stays, what goes, and who you’re becoming in the process.

i think sometimes we mistake transformation for things falling apart. when really, we’re being asked to make room for more of who we are.

not to abandon the versions of ourselves that got us here. not to choose between our ambition and our peace, our dreams and our present, or the many things that make us who we are.

but to integrate them.

and maybe that’s the hardest part. realizing that becoming more of yourself doesn’t always require doing more. sometimes it requires slowing down long enough to hear yourself again.

so if you’re feeling stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or even a little scared to take the next step, take it anyway. it doesn’t have to be the biggest leap. you don’t need the entire plan.

just breathe. and step.

i’m learning this right alongside you. 🤍

i actually created a free integration check-in worksheet for this very reason. a little space to pause, reflect on the different parts of your life, and reconnect with what matters most as you navigate your own becoming.

if this resonates, comment INTEGRATION and i’ll send it to you. ✨

sometimes burnout isn’t a sign that you need a better morning routine, another weekend away, or a few more hours of sleep.

sometimes it’s the body finally telling the truth about something the mind has been trying very hard to make work.

i’ve spent a lot of my life being very good at pushing through.

building. achieving. becoming. holding multiple visions at once. being grateful for the opportunities i prayed for while quietly wondering why some of them no longer felt like mine.

and i think one of the harder lessons of this season has been realizing that just because i can carry something doesn’t mean i’m meant to keep carrying it.

there is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from constantly negotiating against yourself.

from saying yes because it makes sense on paper. from continuing because you’ve already invested so much. from staying loyal to an old version of your ambition. from performing a life you once wanted while something deeper inside of you has already begun asking for another one.

for a long time, i thought growth meant expanding my capacity to hold more.

now i’m wondering if some of the deepest growth is learning what no longer deserves access to that capacity.

maybe success isn’t just about how much we can build. maybe it’s also about building a life we don’t have to abandon ourselves to maintain.

a life where ambition and peace aren’t enemies.
where rest isn’t something we earn after depletion. where changing our minds isn’t failure. where we’re allowed to outgrow dreams we once prayed for. where becoming more doesn’t require becoming less of ourselves.

i’m still learning this.

still discerning what is mine to carry and what i’ve simply become accustomed to carrying. still learning the difference between a difficult season that requires perseverance and a misaligned season that requires courage.

but i know this much:

i don’t want a life that looks beautiful from the outside and requires me to disappear inside of it.

whatever i build next, whatever i become next, i want to still be there when i arrive.

whole.
present.
soft enough to hear myself.
brave enough to listen.

maybe that’s the work now. 🤎 by @jasminelamb_

“on a perpetual hunt for beautiful things and creating beautiful spaces.

this season I’m in feels really different. yet to be named. i know it’s more real. and more true to the core essence of my inner being. and yet I don’t have a name for this space I’m in, not yet. all I can trust in is God and the energetic motion of my being. remembering the things that have always felt
true and honest to me. remembering the feelings I call home and where and with whom I feel most whole.” 🤎

For almost two years, this plant looked like it wasn’t growing.

No new leaves.
No dramatic transformation.
Nothing that would make someone stop and say, “Wow.”

But every time I watered it, something was happening beneath the surface.

Roots were strengthening.
Energy was being stored.
The foundation was quietly expanding.

Then, almost overnight, it pushed out its biggest leaf yet.

We treat our own lives so differently.

If we don’t see immediate results, we assume we’re failing.
We question the process.
We wonder if it’s time to quit.

But some seasons aren’t meant for visible growth.
They’re meant for deeper roots.

Keep showing up.
Keep doing the work no one applauds.
Keep investing in yourself, even when there isn’t proof yet.

One day, what looked like “nothing” will suddenly make perfect sense.

Growth doesn’t always announce itself.
Sometimes it whispers underground before it blooms.

🌿 If you’re in a season where it feels like nothing is happening, this is your reminder: don’t confuse invisible progress with no progress. by @jasminelamb_

I did it for her. 🥹

For the little girl who always knew how far she would go.

For the version of me who dreamed big before she had the language for ambition.

For the one who kept showing up, kept believing, kept becoming.

Sometimes, on the way to the top, we forget that the moment we’re standing in used to be a dream too.

Graduating with my MBA from @georgetownuniversity is one of those moments.

Not the finish line. Not the final destination. But a milestone. A sacred one.

A reminder that the work, the prayers, the sacrifices, the late nights, the doubts, the discipline, the resilience… it all counted.

And I’m learning not to rush past the evidence of my own becoming.

Because little me would be so proud.

And honestly? So am I.

I did this.

And I should be damn proud. 🎓✨ taken in Georgetown University by @jasminelamb_

For the first time in a long time, I am realizing that I have built a life I don’t need an escape from.

And that feels big.

Not because life is suddenly perfect. Not because everything is easy. Not because I have somehow transcended stress, uncertainty, or the very human desire to get away. But because somewhere along the way, I started building a life that I no longer feel the need to constantly escape from. A life that feels more honest. More aligned. More my own.

And still, I booked the trip.

Because sometimes travel is not about running away. Sometimes it is about returning to yourself more fully. Sometimes it is about perspective. Breath. Beauty. Space. A reminder that life is not only meant to be managed, but witnessed.

This place is breathtaking in a way that almost does not make sense. The mountains, the water, the light, the way the sky seems to stretch just a little wider here. The views never let me down.

And yet, beauty here does not erase complexity.

Cape Town carries visible tension. It carries history. It carries pain. It carries social realities that cannot and should not be ignored. You can feel the contrast. The land is stunning, but the story is layered. Maybe that is part of what moved me so deeply. The way nature can still offer medicine in a place that holds so much contradiction. The way beauty and brokenness can exist in the same frame.

Because maybe healing is not always found in perfect places. Maybe sometimes it is found in honest ones. In places that remind you the world can be both gorgeous and grieving. Both expansive and unfinished. Both a wound and a prayer.

Cape Town gave me that.

A deep exhale.
A quiet remembering.
A soft but steady reminder that even when the world is complicated, beauty still matters.
Our environment still matters.
Wonder still matters.
And gratitude still has the power to bring us back to ourselves.

So no, I did not need a vacation from my life.

But I am grateful for the one I took.

Because some places do not let you escape yourself.
They invite you back home. taken in Cape Town, South Africa by @jasminelamb_
