Heelz Lab Vol. 2 🧪 Choreography by @lizahaldo

This piece is a reflection of my dance journey.

Dear Dance,

I found you a year and a half ago, in one of the darkest seasons of my life. I was exhausted—burnt out from chasing success in all the wrong ways. Art has always been a part of me, but I went five years without it. I didn’t realize how much I needed it back until I stumbled into your arms.

I was awful at first. Awkward. Lost. I told myself I wasn’t good enough, that I didn’t deserve to be seen, that my movements were something to hide.

But you were patient with me. You held me anyway. You introduced me to a community that believed in me even when I couldn’t. Because of you, I’ve learned to be kinder to myself. To show up fully.

You’ve given me purpose. You’ve given me joy.

And I hope you never let me go.

Yours Truly,
Jasmin
