OBG presents: ✨Goodies✨ our 2025 @maxtoutdance performance and first set using all in-house choreography! We are so proud of what a group of parents and working professionals can put together rehearsing for just 3 hours a week! 💪🏻 The kids these days may be crazy (talented! inspiring! hungry!), but these oldies can hold it down when we’re here dancing with and for each other. That’s what being a GOODIE is all about 🥰 #youdownwithOBG #YEAHYOUKNOWME

Are you getting ready to graduate soon? We reached out to 2021 Lavin graduate, Jasmin Villa, for her advice to upperclassmen at SDSU.

Q: What is your biggest piece of advice to current upperclassmen at SDSU?
A: Know that work doesn't define who you are. Of course, you may love what you do or take great pride in your work, but it is just one dimension of your life. Be sure to be balanced and explore activities outside of sitting at a desk!

Q: What part of the Lavin program is the most beneficial professionally speaking?
A: The Lavin Program is especially beneficial for those to gain early career experience! You can get matched with companies partnered with the Lavin Center and get a head start in the recruiting process for internships!

Q: Tips for making yourself a more competitive candidate when applying for jobs?
A: Recruiters on average take 7 seconds to view your resume. So I highly suggest using the X-Y-Z formula on your resume to stand out. "Accomplished [X] as measured by [Y], by doing [Z]." This means you want to show off your accomplishments with quantitative results and the impact of those results!
