💔 June 14, 2026 — the day my heart shattered.

My son, Kainoa Keali’i Dickson, took his life. He finally broke under the weight of an impossible, cruel choice: stay estranged from his Mother, or reach out to her and be disowned by his father. That threat, that fear of losing his dad if he reached out to me — finally became too much.

Losing him is a pain from which I will never heal. But what his father and stepmother did afterward is pure evil.

They refused to let me — his Mom — into his memorial service. They barred me from saying goodbye. They removed my name from his obituary, trying to erase me from his life like I never existed. And now their lie is that I “just didn’t show up.”

What manner of monsters look at a mother’s grief and weaponize it? Shut her out of her own son’s farewell? Rewrite history to paint her as a villain?
I showed up- and they stole my chance to stand beside my child and grieve him and to say goodbye. They chose hate, lies and viciousness over decency.

Kainoa, my son… I am so sorry. Sorry the adults in your life made love conditional. Sorry you were forced to choose. Sorry I couldn’t protect you from their hate. You deserved to be loved without conditions. I will love you fiercely for the rest of my life, and nothing they do will ever change that.

To honor Kainoa the way he deserved, we will have a second memorial, where those who loved him can come together, share memories, and grieve. The date is still being finalized, but I'll share the details as soon as it's set.
If you knew Kainoa, if you loved him, please reach out.

And to every parent who has been alienated, shut out, or erased from their child's life— I see you. The pain is real and the betrayal cuts to the bone.
Rest now, Kainoa. No more choices. No more hate. You are free.

Some more photos from Open Class at The Cascadian. So very grateful for this experience! After a few days and deep discussions with my coaches, and while I know they would bring me in absolutely 👌🏼 condition for nationals, I don't think *I* will be happy with my package just yet and want to tweak a just few more things. I literally could not be happier with the support and coaching from Team PR Powerfit, @paulaifbbpro & @coach_villerekola (Yes...that's high praise from me 😉). There aren't enough words or space to hold all my love and gratitude of these two and what they've done for me in such a short time with their knowledge and expertise. ❤️ But for now..... we go back to the drawing boards for a few more months to see what we can build- I know it's going to be something special. 🥰 #somuchlove #npcfigure #growinginallthewaysthatmatter #neversatisfied by @jason.romero708

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to this guy right here, whom has forever changed my life in all the best ways- baby, I love you, and to all of my friends and family that made me feel so damn loved on my birthday. The texts, the cards and gifts, (@slockwood1 - you know me so well- I'm pampered 🥰) the incredible trout dinner and crème brûlée (@lockwoodbuilders -no one does food like you, not even me! ❤️) the (*cough* multiple 😏) individual lemon pound cakes beautifully crafted @kaylicious_bakes...so damn yummy) this darling and hilarious handmade bookmark- @gg1k731 - you know me...and a few other people so well 😉) @romero.debbie, for the kitchen goodies, my fav thing!... so many to list!! THANK YOU!! Jason and I spent 8 days pretty hermit'd and renovating our rental house, and yesterday was such a lovely finale and reprieve from that and so good to be back home in beautiful wine country. Happy Birthday to the absolute love of my life. Everyday with you gets brighter than the last. I thank the good Lord, every single day I wake up next to you. You are the biggest blessing and everything I prayed for and beyond. You fill my life with so much joy and laughter. I couldn’t ask for a better coach, mentor, lover, partner, teammate or best friend. You are everything to me. This weekend at the Cascadian Classic was one for the books. I’m incredibly proud to have taken first place in both my Open and Masters Figure classes at a show I've had my sights on for a minute.
I had the honor of going head-to-head for the Figure Overall against the phenomenal Becca (@tinkerbelllifts). What a talented and beautiful athlete. The decision came down to a split judges’ call, and while I received wonderful feedback from the judges, I’m most proud of how we both showed up with strength and grace. Becca, you are a force. Your physique is outstanding and your heart is even bigger. I’m so grateful we got to share that stage together.
It was so amazing being back in my hometown and I have never felt so loved and supported with the warmest, "welcome home" ever.

Short guys: You're too tall.

Me: I'm not enough. This isn't enough. #failedperfectionistalways

Don't try to please the world. Find your tribe-your badass coaches that believe in you, your soulmate that thinks you walk on the moon, chosen family if yours sucks, your best friend and friends that truly get you...Find 👏🏼 Your 👏🏼 People. Put your standards in The Divine (for me, that's in God, and His standards) and wave fingers to the rest of the noise, even if it comes from within occasionally. You won't regret it. 😘

Just so grateful for my husband- to be so aligned with a such a badass teammate and to share the same goals, dreams, plans, spirituality, life & financial outlooks... all important things that can make or break so many other things. I love you, baby. @jason.romero708
