Broad shouldered noot. To this day still the nootiest neck I've made -- it wasn't trimmed at all! Tea dust over B-18 on Carmel, fired until smooth and iridescent in a way that's tough to pick up on camera, which took 3 firings this time.

Skinny Noot 1. Celadon under Pete's Cranberry on Carmel. Certainly got less skinny after the firings shrunk it vertically but we still love her!

Catching up on my noot neck pot posts! Round Noot here was thrown with Soldate 60 and glazed with Cornwall Stone, which actually has a bit of a cool tone with this clay body!

Some pieces from a one-off accidental oxidation firing! I actually really like how these turned out, even though they didn't get the effects I was going for. Shout-out to @andvnn for recommending some spots to find these little flowers!

Mini revolving vase in a vase! I haven't stopped thinking about this since seeing the Qing dynasty originals at the National Palace Museum in Taipei last September (last slide)! Definitely learned a lot and will be better prepared for the full sized one soon 👀 #fish #leaf #thumb

My new tool holder! Openwork cats with catnip background, inspired by a Korean brush holder I saw at @asianartmuseum (slide 9). My tools barely fit in my old jar and now they all fit in the new one with room to spare! Huge shout-outs to @janky_ceramics for their knife to carve the openwork and @with.two.hands for the top divider idea! And to both them and @v0ceramixs for helping brainstorm cat designs! I ended up going with sitting cat, buff cat, loaf cat, and vase cat 😺

Certainly not the post I wanted to make 😭 This is a Chinese yoyo I made, and was planning on actually using it for a collab with @jason_yoyos, but while I was practicing the choreo I made for it I dropped it and it shattered 🥴 Lesson learned, I guess. The neat thing is I can finally see the cross section of a finished piece! The next one will be less wobbly 😤

This year's Christmas gifts for family! Had a lot of fun trying some new forms and, save for some unfortunate crawling, am really happy with how things turned out!
