I need to brag on one of the best moms I know.

Kristin showed up early this morning to fill in for a player whose mom couldn’t attend our mom’s practice this morning and then stayed around to help the coaches organize the equipment.

On the way home she told me all about the player she got to be with today. She even asked him if he wanted to her to hit him hard or not during the mom tackle drill.

She has been coming to these every year and always steps in when needed. She always makes sure to make that connection with a kid

Last year she stepped in for a senior. He walked up to me and said, “I can see why you picked her.” I didn’t even ask him why because I already knew. This young man mentioned her at the football awards night when he read his “Dear Pirate Football” letter. She wiped a tear away. She gets it.

I just wanted to put this out there, because sometimes I get so busy dealing with other people that I forget to acknowledge my own.

Thank yo Kristin, you made me proud again. by @jasonfeeback

She says I only have two flaws. The first is I don’t listen very well.

I don’t recall what she said the other one was. by @jasonfeeback
