Today I finished the international composition masterclass of the @enescu_festival !! This was truly an amazing experience—I got to workshop my string quartet “Frustration.” I worked with the incredible maestro @cristian.macelaru , the amazingly talented @404xiao_ who conducted the piece, and last but not least the wonderful composition mentors at the festival, @steven_mackey @sarahkirklandsnider and @zkrauzemusic . All of your wisdom and advice was very very much appreciated!

I am eternally grateful to the festival and staff for providing these amazing resources, and my family for making this opportunity possible. I also want to especially thank my father @dj_canoli who has constantly been there to support me during this journey. I don’t know where on earth I’d be without you (I’d probably accidentally walk into Bulgaria lololol) ❤️

This has been a delightful experience and I am very glad to have participated in this masterclass 🥹

Look forward to more from me in the fall, more pieces are in the works!! Mainly chamber stuff probably, though instrumentation might be a bit unusual (6 mixed electric guitars perhaps..?). You tell me, what chamber instrumentation should I write for next??

Thank you to all of you once again!

“The music is really fire” aah

VERS LA FLAMME one of the coolest (warmest…?) Scriabin pieces of the later stuff, this guy was definitely on something. To the pianists of Instagram this is NOT my primary instrument don’t judge me I’m a violinist 😭 Yes guitar stuff is coming soon but I haven’t had the time with this school year yet

New music in the writing process! This is a very meditative one, enjoy! Yes I know the piano needs to be tuned. Yes all of my bad piano technique is actually secretly written as stage directions in a performance note.
