The high pressure system that comes in after atmospheric rivers makes for some stunning pictures! Here are a few shots I took today while assessing the damage. taken in Local Roots Farm by @jasonsalvo

The water is starting to recede this morning. This flood was quite big… possibly the biggest of all time at our farm. The fact that the Carnation gauge shows this flood coming in 18” lower than the ‘09 flood is a testament to the effect of localized hydrology. Was it due to the record flooding concurrently happening on the Snohomish? Has the reading at the Carnation gauge changed more than we realized due to the work @kingcountywa did at Chinook Bend? Does @noaa need to improve their flood modeling for our valley? #wafloods #snoqualmievalley taken in Local Roots Farm by @jasonsalvo

Coming out of Instagram retirement to share some flood pics. The water was this high for nearly 24h. It’s finally starting to recede, and it’s looking like this flood was either the biggest or second biggest on record. #snoqualmievalley #flood taken in Local Roots Farm by @jasonsalvo
