📸 @alex.hopp.craft “The course of true love never did run smooth.”

The Bard is back at the historic bandshell in Centennial Park! Magic, mischief, and moonlight fill the Athenian forest in this joyful tangle of love, laughter, and theatrical mayhem. When mischievous fairies meddle with runaway lovers and an unsuspecting troupe of amateur actors, dreams blur with reality and anything can happen. Full of wonder, whimsy, and enchantment, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Shakespeare at his most playful. This production is sure to delight audiences of all ages! taken in Centennial Park Nashville, Tennessee by @jasonspelbring

Gandy (noun)
Pronunciation: /ˈɡæn-di/

Definition:
A proud gay individual who is especially skilled at practical domestic crafts such as home repair, DIY projects, landscaping, or gardening; someone who pairs confidence in identity with competence in making spaces more beautiful, functional, and well-kept.

Expanded sense:
A person who brings creativity, care, and craftsmanship to their environment—equally comfortable celebrating their identity and fixing a leaky faucet, building a garden bed, or restoring a charming old house.

Example usage:
• “Give Jason a hammer and a tomato plant—he’s a total gandy.”
• “We needed someone who could design the garden and rebuild the porch railing. Thankfully, a gandy lives down the street.”

Tone/Connotation:
Complimentary, playful, and affectionate; celebrates capability, pride, and style in everyday craftsmanship. taken in East Nashville, Tennessee by @jasonspelbring
