This past Sunday, a portion of the NPC voted against enforcing DA’s democratically determined commitment to anti-Zionism by neglecting to take substantive action in regards to a chapter’s endorsement of Nithya Raman. This endorsement is clearly in violation of R22, due to her stated position that she will not act in accordance with BDS as mayor—a well defined requirement for an endorsement under this resolution. In neglecting to enforce a resolution passed by the highest body within DSA (the National Convention), the NPC members that voted against enforcing R22 have placed themselves above that highest body and in effect undermined the internal democracy of DSA as a whole. The NPC must take its responsibility and uphold our organization’s democratically determined convention mandate. The NPC should not undermine the established internal democracy of DSA, regardless of how any NPC member may feel about that position. The NPC members that voted against enforcing R22 must take seriously their responsibility to maintain DSA as an anti-Zionist organization on paper and in practice. by @jax_dsa

🚨 REMINDER —-> TODAY is the LAST DAY to register to vote!! One of the most important and powerful ways to make your voice heard by our elected leaders is by voting. Many of us are facing growing hardships under the Trump administration’s reckless and violent policies. We will continue to fight for a more just and safe future for the working class. It starts by voting out pro-capitalist warmongers, and voting in candidates who share our values of universal healthcare, raising the minimum wage, ending the genocide and war, and abolishing ICE. Check your registration at: www.registertovoteflorida.gov #dsa #florida #voting taken in Jacksonville, Florida by @jax_dsa

🐊🌹 Wanna learn more about DSA’s Workers Deserve More program? Join us for our Socialist Night School! 📆 Tuesday, September 22nd ⏰ 6:00pm - 7:30pm 📍 Argyle Branch Library (7973 Old Middleburg Rd S) Proponents of capitalism have long claimed that ‘there is no alternative.’ But people in the US and around the world are increasingly daring to defy this notion, growing sick of oppression, exploitation, and the ‘ambition’ to someday become the oppressor instead of the oppressed. DSA is here with an alternative: full, shared, human flourishing and an economy based on common need. This event is free and open to the public, so whether you’re a member of the DSA or just curious about what we’re fighting for, come join us for this event! Please RSVP in our Linktree, and feel free to check out the DSA program ahead of time, but we will also be introducing it at this event! And feel free to bring a friend or coworker! #DSA #democraticsocialism #workersdeservemore #workersrights #NEFL #socialistnightschool #politicaleducation #jaxevents #jacksonvilleevents #904jax #thingstodoinjax #education #capitalism #capitalismsucks #capitalismkills #socialism #workingclass taken in Old Middleburg Road by @jax_dsa
