🌞 It’s open!! 🙌
We caught a sunrise over the newly opened stretch of the Southbank Riverwalk at @riversedgejax and it was breathtaking! Several new micro parks, new river edge swings, great new views, and an awesome boardwalk at the end! Worth a visit!

🤔This Tuesday’s park visit is to @riversedgejax Central Park. Did you know it’s missing something? Originally planned was a giant art piece, a pearl like sculpture at the center. We ask the question - with the old @haskellco building sold and to be torn down for new development - why not repurpose that beautiful fountain there? That would need agreement between the city, the current property owner, and RiverEdge. Plus support and funding to make it happen.

25 years ago today. 2,977 lives killed, some horrifically by burning jet fuel, crushed, by building materials, and others jumping thousands of feet from windows to escape the intense heat and smoke. The day will live on in memories and the pages of historical literature forever. While memories grow old and fade, nothing will take away what happened or replace what was lost. Rest assured we will never forget.

At that time, the Hidden Jacksonville owner was in the Navy and stationed on a destroyer. Instantly the ship’s mission and following year changed: the ship immediately left port in San Diego and guarded Seattle for months - leaving behind worried families not knowing where we were going. Later we would deploy to the Middle East.

It was a period of our nation that was a mix of emotions from anger, fear, sorrow, to patriotism. For us serving in the military back then, no matter our race, political beliefs, gender, or background - our unified goal was to never let something like this happen again - to our country or any nation. Which is a tall order.

👉 There will always be selfish and bad humans, but we also believe there are more good than bad. Humanity has shown generations of families, inventions, love, creations, passion, and progress. The one thing history always proves to us: things take time, things do change, and there’s no stopping either one of those. ✨ A @futurejacksonville concept story is now here and open with @asadolife that is on the Northbank @jaxriverwalk near @everbankstadium - we went exploring to show you the area! What we liked seeing:
- Restaurant on the Riverwalk
- Outdoor seating areas
- Marina now open for short term stays
- Chunk or Riverwalk established
- Views of River and downtown
- Kind of tucked away, Hidden
