A Moment I’ll Never Forget: 2024 Championship Walk-Off

2024 was a year of relentless effort, countless hours of practice, and learning to rise after every fall. But one moment will stand above the rest: the day I delivered the walk-off hit that clinched the championship for my team.

For me, this wasn’t just about winning a game; it was about redemption. After coming up short in four previous championship games, I carried those missed opportunities with me every time I stepped onto the field. But this time, it was different. My team believed in me. Their trust gave me the confidence to push beyond the doubts and nerves that had plagued me before.

When I stepped up to the plate in that final inning, the weight of the season was on my shoulders. And then it happened—crack—the ball sailed, the winning run crossed the plate, and just like that, we were champions. The explosion of joy from my teammates, the cheers, the rush—it’s a moment that’s permanently etched into my heart.

This wasn’t just about the hit; it was the culmination of everything I poured into 2024. The grind, the sweat, the sacrifices—it all led to this. To finally show up for my team and myself in the biggest moment of the season is a memory I’ll cherish forever.

It’s wild… this page started as a car page when I got my F30 BMW. I had a vision for it, but it never really took off. I kept blaming my motivation, but deep down, I knew what it was: I wasn’t truly happy with the car.

I needed something for work and got lucky—a 2018 lease return with less than 30k miles. Made it look how I wanted, then pretty much forgot about all the plans I had for it.

The problem? I was spoiled. 😂

Before the BMW, I owned a 2012 Mitsubishi Evo X pushing well over 500 AWHP. That car was my crown jewel. Babied, maintained, and cared for like you wouldn’t believe. The power, the feeling, the smile every time I drove it… I was hooked.

But growing up had other plans, and ultimately, I had to let it go. Regretted it from the day it left. Still wonder where that car would be today if I’d kept it.

That’s what I’d been missing all these years. That feeling behind the wheel.

Well, allow me to introduce my unicorn…

Mark 21, aka Mrk21—my 2012 Subaru WRX STI Limited. 🔴

Found this baby with LESS THAN 32K ORIGINAL MILES!!!! And the best part? I connected with both the original and second owners, confirming I’m the third owner, with the history behind those miles and a few tasteful mods already included.

Huge shoutout to @carvana! This was easily one of the quickest and easiest car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Almost everything was online, I barely had to speak to anyone, and I got a great car at a great value. When an issue came up, they immediately made sure it was taken care of. Couldn’t be happier with the entire process!

This car also brought me back to my man D and the crew over at @primemotoring. They went through it with compression and smoke testing, plus a comprehensive inspection of the other parts and systems. Knowing what I’m starting with makes this that much sweeter.

I’m looking forward to driving with a smile on my face again and seeing where this build takes me.

Another layer to the content: DIY videos, upgrades, and everything that comes with making this car my own. And hopefully, reconnecting with some old friends along the way.

DOWN THREE. NEVER OUT. 🔥

Season on the line. Down 4–1. We weren’t going home.

We put up four in the sixth to grab a 5–4 lead. The Nationals tied it in the seventh, so we went right back to work—two in the eighth to take it for good.

After getting caught looking my first at-bat, I answered with a deep double to left-center, then smoked a single to right. Finished 2-for-3 and added a stolen base while running for Ben.

Nothing handed to us. Had to fight our way back and earn it.

RANGERS 7. NATIONALS 5.
THIRD STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCE.

We’re back. Now let’s finish the job. ⚾

After another tough loss to the Piratas last week, the Rangers were back in action against a strong Bulls squad.

We controlled most of the game, carrying a 3–0 lead into the 6th before things got interesting.

Top 6, the Bulls battled all the way back and tied it up. Walks will kill you, and they took advantage.

But we went right back to work.

Bottom 6. No outs. Bases loaded.

I get my opportunity at the plate and, in what felt like the blink of an eye, I’m down 0–2.

Instead of panicking, I stayed composed. Fouled off a few pitches. Took a couple. Kept battling.

Then… BOOM.

Ball driven to dead center, sailing over the center fielder’s head.

Two runs score. Rangers take the lead back.

And we never looked back.

The offense kept the pressure on and pushed across four more runs through a combination of clutch hitting and defensive mistakes by the Bulls.

Most importantly — another Rangers win.

WIN #10 on the season. ⚾️

We currently sit 2nd in the standings behind the Piratas, and with only a handful of games remaining, the playoff race is getting real.

Back at it next week.

Honestly… not much footage worth posting from this one. 😂 One hit and a couple solid outs, but for once I wasn’t worried about gathering content. I was too busy actually enjoying the moment.

Juan Carlos and Omar invited me to run with the Guardians of Palm Beach—two guys I’ve respected for years as ballplayers, but even more as men. This weekend I got to meet their families, their boys, and really experience their world.

The vibes were different from Day 1.

If you know me, you know I don’t let my guard down easily, but with these guys it happened almost instantly. I laughed, talked shit, and even spoke Spanish the WHOLE trip with absolutely no shame 😂. Nobody made fun of me or cared if I messed something up.

That’s when I knew… these are my people.

Even after 5 Ks 😂, I never felt judged or like I had to prove anything. Just genuine support and good energy from everyone.

Winning is always the goal, but being around the RIGHT people means more to me than any stat line ever will.

I came down here to play baseball and left with family.

Juan Carlos and Omar aren’t two of my favorite teammates anymore… those are my brothers now. 💙

From spending time with my godmom to every laugh, conversation and moment with the Guardians, this one became a core memory.
