Yesterday we launched our new collection ‘Vivid’!

A collaboration between ourselves, @chairmakeruk and @jabanstoetz, the collection highlights supportive relationships in the industry, sustainability and an element of our usual quirkiness in design…

Pieces are built with repurposed wood and upcycled hand carved legs turned into frames by the very experienced frame makers at #chairmakeruk, foam and stuffing that is made from recycled elements and that is biodegradable and #jabanstoetz 100% recycled velvet made from polyester. 85% of each piece is therefore made up from sustainable materials!

Add creative direction from our founder @jaybladesmbe and we have a beautiful collection of contemporary classics.

We can customise colours, sizes and fabrics and each piece will be unique as we are using hand carved legs from a stock of random sets of legs leftover from previous projects…

Get in touch to order pieces for your home or for a project ✨

Lucian R Ercolani 🌟

Founder of Ercol in 1920, his aim for the company was to design relevant and honest furniture for British households after the war.

Ercolani’s designs are timeless and pieces like the Windsor dining chair and the Butterfly chair will never fail to impress us at Jay & Co.

We would like to do a #tb to one of the projects we delivered in the past…

We were asked to create 12 bespoke handcraftfed benches for the National Lottery.

The benches we designed and produced were then placed in communities where National Lottery funding has been used to make a real difference, with the aim of honouring some of society’s unsung heroes.

We worked with other crafts people on this project as part of our overarching ethos; for us working in a cooperative model is all about creating opportunities for other crafts workshops as well and achieving end results collaboratively.

To see more on this project and our other projects go to the link in bio.
