Last night I received an award at the Power of Women 2024 for Disability Advocacy 🥹

I cannot even begin to put into words how humbled and honoured I am to join an incredible group of women making positive change in the world and to be recognised for my contribution to the disabled community 🤍

How is this my life?! 🫨

Thank you so much @dfs_greaterlondon and a huge congratulations to all of the other incredible honourees… this means more to me than you will ever know! If I can use my platforms and voice to support the disabled and limb difference community, even if that only meant changing one persons life for the better, I will be immensely proud!

Also thanks to the gorg @ellamorganc for coming along and supporting me 🥰

Honoured to have been a judge for this year’s @bbcmanchester Make a Difference Awards… congratulations Helen, you really are incredible! 🏆🤍

Helen’s phenomenal fundraising efforts quite literally saved Gamesley Community Centre in Glossop from being closed down after their funding was completely cut! Now more than ever, community centres like this are SO important and can act as a lifeline for many different groups of people both young and old - and it was my pleasure to choose you as this year’s winner ☺️

And a huge congratulations to all of the nominees across each award, just by being nominated you are recognised for your incredible contributions in support of others… thank you all and keep going, you should be very proud ✨

35 today… and it really is true what they say about life getting better with age 🤍

Thank you so much for all of the birthday love! I’m feeling more confident, more grateful, more at peace and more sure of who I am with every passing year. Every year of my 30s has taught me something new and brought me closer to the life I want ✨

How do you zip your jackets up with one hand?! Like this… 🤣

Back with another edition of how I get dressed with a limb difference… zips are actually pretty easy, a bit fiddly but it’s all in the hand technique! Elasticated sleeves are a godsend as there’s no floaty sleeve for the stump to navigate ☝🏻
