We had a great time at the Summer Night Lights kickoff at Penrose Recreation center. Every night from 4-8 pm there is free food and extended programming until August 14th at both Penrose and Winchester Rec Centers. All sponsored by the @phillypolice and @ppd22nd. Today I hit 300 doors to inform the community about our pop-up pool party. Community members were excited that after seven years, their pool will be open. It was great to connect with constituents who had never seen an elected official walking in their neighborhood. They asked for a picture so they can remember this moment. #NorthPhilly #FightingForThe5th by @jay_young_esq

What a blessing it was to attend a World Cup match with Parker and his friends. Welcoming the world to Philadelphia has been an amazing experience. Soccer is the world’s most popular sport and it is showing. I started playing soccer in middle school just so I could get out of class early for away games.
