ताना बाना (Tana Bana)

The film documents the lives of migrant women creating Khadi in Punjab from over 40 years, exploring how each stage involved in the making of Khadi becomes a metaphor for their inherited hardships, monotonous lives and unfulfilled dreams.

47 seconds can’t capture everything this journey meant to us.

#TanaBana

Endless cups of chai, laughter, and stories that couldn’t fit inside a frame, Tana Bana is a reflection of that journey.

Grateful to every artisan who welcomed us into their world, trusted us with their stories, and made sure we never shot on an empty stomach. This film belongs to you as much as it belongs to us.

We came. We filmed. We won 1st Prize 🌻
So proud of the team for bagging the
** PUBLIC APERTURE AWARD **!
The energy at the screening was electric, and the love from the judges made every single late-night editing session and "one last take" totally worth it. 🎥✨

Making a film in just 48 hours is a wild rollercoaster, but having this crew by my side made the madness look easy. Seeing the audience connect with our story is exactly why we do what we do. This trophy is for everyone who cheered for us and everyone who stayed up late to make the magic happen!
Next stop? The next big project.

Stay tuned! 🎞️🔥

Special thanks to Kartar Aasra Old Age Home!

It started with a thought we couldn’t ignore.
Now it’s turning into something we can’t stop chasing.
