Clip from my documentary Rarity: Retro Video Game Collecting in the Modern Era 🎮

Back in the rental store days, some games were too controversial, violent, pornographic, or simply not Nintendo-approved for major chains like Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. The only way to find them was at small mom-and-pop video stores willing to carry the weird, unlicensed, and infamous titles — including games like Chiller, one of the most talked-about “anti-Nintendo” releases of the era.

Watch the full film now on Amazon Prime, Tubi, YouTube, Apple TV, and many more streaming platforms. #documentary #retrogaming #videostore #banned #infamous taken in Video Depot by @jaybaamofficial

This one will hit home for a lot of us here on the IG retro gaming community. @bxbennyg1 was a friend who supported his friends ,shared with his friends and most important of all loved his friends with all of his heart . I was fortunate to witness his kindhearted nature first hand for many years . I am sincerely saddened to know that he is no longer with us . I don’t believe I can articulate in a simple post how special he really was . To all of his loved ones I am so deeply sorry for your loss. by @jaybaamofficial
