One more #ontheroadwithclassics from the Moaning Caverns. This time inside with what else? Spelunker! I mean ..kind of a slam dunk what game to (sneakily) bring down here for a pic.

Check out most (but not all) of the famous staircase we walked down and yes..back up.

No surprise when westerners discovered the caverns and began to explore it, they found a lot of human remains as well. And later, well later westerners remains were found because..ya know..long fall down!

We are #ontheroadwithclassics again ! The Mrs and I spent a wonderful anniversary weekend in the quaint little town of Murphy and on the way home swung by the Moaning Caves Adventure park to tour the caves.

Nothing like walking over 200 steps down a +100 year old spiral staircase from a WW1 battleship to wake you right up!

The area definitely gave off a Far Cry 5 vibe. I mean except, who would believe Americans would follow some cult leader that rationalizes brutal tactics to create an America he wants?..pfft ridiculous right?! 🙄

Reno NV is the setting for today’s #ontheroadwithclassics post. Or should I say “New Reno?”

After all Fallout 2 is partially set in the lawless casino run city of Reno ya know!

I still haven’t got my windows 98 Alienware set back up, but when I do..you can bet this will be the first game I play on it.

P.S. found a great park to take a picture of Reno from, thought I’d share that too and yes..yes I’m THAT nerd who finds a wonderful view…just to take a video game picture at..lol

P.P.S. This hashtag is my favorite gaming hashtag ever nd created by the legendary @jaybaamofficial where you take pictures or video of games while out in other cities than your own.

WHY HELLO THERE MY FRIENDS!!!

How are you?

It is destiny that I’d finally get back to posting! So why not start with THE PICK OF DESTINY!!!

Yes, for the grand return to sharing all the cool stuff I’ve gotten, might as well start with the Shout! Studios Shout Select Blu-Ray of The D’s foray into motion pictures. I only had the DVD, so finally having a Blu-Ray of this, and especially one that ported over all the features, was a no-brainer. And that’s what you’re all going to see a lot of in the coming posts: Blu-Ray and 4K movies I only previously had on DVD. Always good to continue to fill the gaps in my collection with an HD format!

As for me, I’m doing pretty good! I’ve been dealing with having Sciatica issues, which isn’t fun. Officially feeling old and very much in my 40s. Still functioning though! Been at my current job in my dispatcher position for 1 year and 6 months as of this week. I just got a raise too! Still living with Mom and her boyfriend in a nice 3 level townhouse-style place for now. Been saving money up as best as I can for large necessities(A car, some health care etc) as well as hopefully some big fun things like a new TV finally, and a new Xbox(please tell them to stop raising the price 😭)

I’ve also been steadily working through my game backlog(the Xbox ultimate game sale just made it thicker though 😆). Also been going through some movies/shows I’ve wanted to give a chance but haven’t yet. Currently on Season 2 of a show I’ve never watched…I’ve been learning that “THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE”….😉

I suppose if you want more updates you can message me, I’ve prattled on enough! Wish I could tag everyone but I’ll get as many on here as I can!

Help me get the word out please!

IG kept cutting the new info portion of this video out when I’d post in 2 parts.

Videos over 3 minutes don’t get recommended to anyone new. I’m hoping to get this out and maybe someone will know more.

I’ve never asked for a video to be added to anyone story, but appreciate it this one time.

So whatever, I was hoping to get word out but here’s the whole video . Thanks IG!

Oh and thanks for cropping the video too! Gee wonder why Tik Tok is way more popular now!

That time I snagged this sweet transparent blue CRT from a flea market for $10!

Oh the CRT snobs will tell you these RCA’s aren’t the “cats meow” on picture quality but..screw you! I love this thing! And with the bonus Jacks in the front, I’ve used this to test to many systems to count and ya know.they looked just fine to me.

We are #ontheroadwothclassics in…in.. somewhere between California and Idaho! I don’t know ok!? 😂

But it was a nice truck stop, although when the F we gonna get a damn Bucky’s out west btw!?
Although the king of all are the ones in Korea! They’re like a Damn mini mall with the cleanest bathrooms ever and a gas station you drive through, not to.

Gamewise, it’s a little repetitive, not the greatest graphics but..still kind of fun hauling between cities, delivering your goods, and competing in races.

Average review score was 6.5 outta 10. I can see a case on either side for play or not play.
Anyone got more experience than me on this? Thoughts?

P.S. it was windy so had to hold game in place, included original pic. lol

Hi friends!!!!

Yes, that’s right. I have procured the 1997 Berserk series on luscious Blu-Ray format! This release by Discotek is nicely done, as it has a good restoration, all of the bonus material from the DVD set(which I also have), plus all 25 episodes on two discs!! When I saw it on sale for nearly half off during Amazon’s Spring Sale, I had to jump on it!!!

swipe for a better look at the shirt my amazing wife @akiko8808 got me that perfectly encapsulates how I feel when young gamers have no idea what I’m talking bout or tell em they are “old school” because they had a snes or genesis lying around from mom and dad

And even this shirt makes me feel old since NES wasn’t where I started..heck I was at the very beginning which was..Pong in skating rinks and pizza parlors.

So here I am, in my old gamer shirt keeping those damn whippesnappers off my lawn and yelling at them for using improper aspect ratios on older games..like a damn fool would!

*seriously though: if I see one more “I love classic games” post of a nes game stretched out to a 16:9 aspect ratio I’m gonna scream.
