Tomorrow is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, and I'll be performing a musical journey through 1,000 years of history at @macquariedaleorganicwines From candlelit medieval evenings to the way we listen today, Im exploring how music has brought people together after dark.

With fine wine, delicious local food and good company, I'm so excited to share this journey with friends old and new.

Putting the final touches on the rep tonight! by @jaybyrnessax

A tough few days for Cooper with a severe skin infection and fever. Recovering well now but on a load of meds. Poor thing, he seems so sad. Cone of shame and all by @jaybyrnessax

To cap off a massive weekend of music making, we performed Thomas Doss’ “Spotlights” concerto for sax quartet and wind band with the Cameraygal Wind Symphony under the direction of Gavin Staines. Was such a thrill to perform this amazing work. We also bumped into a legend of Australian saxophone in the audience - saxophonist Colin Smith who was a founding member of the original Australian Saxophone Quartet.

We had a wonderful evening performing at the Orange Chamber Music Festival last night. Such a pleasure to present our Gershwin program which featured guest artist Simon Tedeschi on piano. The concert showcased a collection of well known works by Gershwin which culminated with ‘Rhapsody in Blue’. Was also a very special to have ABC Classic FM Breakfast host Megan Burslem present the concert. Thank you to Carmen and the team at the festival for having us play and and looking after us!

This incredible woman is about to deliver her 6th Orange Chamber Music Festival. I’m so unbelievably proud of the devotion she pours into this festival and everything she does. Passionate, driven, and always standing up for what’s right, working tirelessly to ensure everyone has access to classical music, no matter the challenges or the barriers put in the way.

You are such an inspiration, @carmenievesbyrnes Today I celebrate you on International Women’s Day, but powerhouses like you deserve to be celebrated every single day. by @jaybyrnessax

Last Sunday I did a thing.

I'm so proud to have presented my new project 'Bach Unlimited' combining Bach with my own works, composed and improvised that referenced, reflected and reimagined the master for the modern ear.

Amazing fun

Thanks @henkvantwillert.saxophone for the inspiration, @alianzamusic___ for the marketing, PR and production and to all the audience that came along. taken in VENTspace by @jaybyrnessax
