me! this past weekend selling clothes with @brassringvintage

As you all know, I have pretty consistently struggled very deeply with my mental health.

Since early 2023, I have been on a serious journey to find answers. To become healed— free and clear.

I will admit that the only reason I am still alive today is because of my Dad.

I will never forget that long night in the winter of early 2023. My close friend was diagnosed with leukemia and I spiraled in a way I did not see coming. I would cry all day and night. I was disoriented. I was desperate. I was lost. I had always known I had depression and anxiety but that feeling I had ultimately belonged to something else: Bipolar Disorder.

On the night I stayed up crying, wanting to just end it all, I reached for my phone and called my Dad.

Little did I know, he saved my life just by taking that call.

This father’s day, I find it especially important to highlight my father.

Through all the milestones, through all the arguments, through all the grappling, through all the appointments to find answers— my Dad was there even if he didn’t necessarily want to be or even if I didn’t want him to be, he still stayed. He still educated himself. He still answered the calls and texts.

People have come and gone but my Dad stayed.

We always need a person that will stay.

I’m Jayda! I run a plant care side gig in Atlanta, Georgia and I am opening up myself to new clients!

My specialties include, but are not limited to:

• Plant care consultations (virtual or in person)
• Maintenance drop ins
• Interior design with the emphasis being staging plants based on your décor and light (want to do this more)
• Making digital, personalized plant care guides
• Repotting (open to just teaching you how too!)

I have both informal and professional experience working with plants and I eventually want to turn this into a full blown operation, ultimately supporting me fully.
