EPISODE 11: DOES TAYLOR SWIFT ADDRESS SLAVERY IN HER SONGS? is now live! On this episode of GROW THE F!*+ UP!, Jayda wrangled WILL INGRAM (@landofthefreak) into her bedroom-- we mean... recording studio... for some last-minute New Year's Eve promo! On New Year's Eve at 12:30 AM, Jayda and Uncle Marty (@dadchic) will be hosting a house show, featuring MONSOON (@monsoonband). They will be also hosting a possum drop starting at 9 PM! The possum drop is what they will be doing to feature the famous New Year's Eve countdown! For entry, you have to bring either $5 or a donation for a local mutual aid donation center. You can check out Jayda's profile for more information on the event and what type of donations she will be accepting! Will and Jayda talked a lot about music in this episode and even broke down some of Jayda's favorite lyrics.  From Taylor Swift and Paramore to the critique of one of Jayda's favorite albums: Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, we try to figure out who suffered more: Will? Who had to sit through Jayda insult his music knowledge that spans years or Jayda? Who exposed herself and her horrible taste in music.  You decide! MONSOON SHOW ON NYE-- Head to @jaydaandrews ' page for more info! NEW YEAR’S EVE IS 6 DAYS AWAY. And we’re hosting a house show for MONSOON. Martin and I will be hosting a possum drop that will be from 9 pm to 12 am. At 12:30, @monsoonband will be performing— and it’s gonna be damn good. The MOST exciting part? We’ve updated the price for y’all. Instead of $10, we ask that you either throw us $5 or a suggested donation of $$$$ or choice items to be donated to local mutual aid centers in Atlanta. Some items we’re looking forward to receiving: • HOT HANDS • GLOVES • MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS • SCARVES • NEW BAGS OF COTTON SOCKS AND UNDERWEAR (kids and adult sizes) • COATS • SWEATERS and MORE! Whatever you’ve got, WE WANT IT. Let’s help make sure our friends around the city can keep warm this winter. We are stoked to host one of the best bands around and give back 🫶 We hope to see ya there! Dress your shiniest best! Photos of me and Martin by: @dwaynes_wrld Photos of Monsoon by: @kysphone

Introducing another member of the Vic crew! Meet Jayda (pronouns she/her). We asked her a few questions so y’all could get to know her and here’s what she had to say about her favorite plants and working at the shop. Be sure to say hi next time you stop by! “My favorite plant in my collection right now is my philodendron hope selloum. My dream plant right now is the Mammillaria Elongata ‘cristata’. And my favorite part about working in the store is getting to help customers find a plant they love, especially when they’re starting out their collection. Working alongside such a knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful team is also a plus!” 🌿🪴

My introduction episode is now live! Thanks to everyone for being so patient. As a lot of you know, this has been in the works for a long time. I feel as though I’ve finally been ready to talk more about the sensitive experiences of childhood and adulthood. I hope you enjoy it! Artwork by: @mmaddielanee
