One of the biggest mistakes I see is fighters taking their entire body off the center line just to avoid a punch.That’s more movement than you need.Instead, sit slightly into your hips, keep your chin tucked, and make a small rotation. Your head moves off the line, but your core stays in position.Why does that matter?Because you’re balanced, loaded, and ready to fire back immediately. You don’t sacrifice your punching position just to defend. Good defense should put you in a better position to counter, not force you to reset.Less movement. Better balance. Want better hooks? Try this….try using one of these types of resistance bands that’s being used in this video put it slightly above above the elbows in rotate properly into your hooks.Good technique is an absolute must in high-level Boxing. Make sure to relax your shoulders as much as possible. Tighten your hands upon impact.
