I’m beyond excited to join AA Educates as a Youth Ambassador 💚

This partnership means a lot to me because the mission behind AA Educates truly aligns with the work I care deeply about making sure young people, especially those facing barriers, know that their future is still full of opportunity.

As someone who became a mother at 15 and spent part of my teenage years navigating the care system, I know first-hand how important it is for young people to have people around them who believe in them.

I truly believe that when lived experience meets opportunity, real change happens.

I’m so excited to work alongside the amazing CEO & Founder Andrine Allen at @aa_educates and the AA Educates team to help inspire, support and open doors for more young people across the UK.

Creating opportunities isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am 💡

This week felt special. With National Careers Week and International Women’s Day happening at the same time, I had the privilege of hosting the panel “The World of Your Future” at The Careers Arcade.

What stood out to me most wasn’t just the event, it was the young people in the room.

Not the ones who already have everything figured out, but the ones who came to explore, ask questions and simply see what might be possible for them.

And as a woman who once didn’t always feel like those spaces were built for me, standing there and sharing my journey felt personal.

Because sometimes young people don’t lack ambition they lack access, exposure and someone who reminds them that they belong in the room too.

So during a week where we celebrate careers and women, I was reminded why this work matters so much to me.

I’m in ♥️

Not just because it’s International Women’s Day, but because this feels personal to me. I’ve seen how hard women have to fight to be heard, respected, and protected, and I know that progress doesn’t just happen, people make it happen by showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable.

For me, this is about more than a campaign or a moment online. It’s about the conversations we have, the spaces we create, and the voices we choose to amplify. The rights and opportunities many of us benefit from today were built by women who refused to stay silent and I feel a responsibility to carry that forward in my own way.

I’m using my voice because change lasts longer when we stand together. This isn’t just one day of celebration, it’s a commitment to keep pushing, keep listening, and keep showing up for all women and girls.

If I can’t change the system, I won’t wait for permission. I’ll use my voice and the power of the community that helped build me to cut through the cracks, lift others, and make change unavoidable.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been asked so many questions about my thoughts and feelings regarding the General Election. The most prominent question has been “Jayde, what are your political plans now”?

It’s clear that the party I joined over seven years ago has failed our country and I’ve effortlessly campaigned with the Conservatives through knocking on doors for many local campaigns, digital campaigns and news outlets sharing my own story and my belief in the fundamentals of the Conservative Party.

Although it will be difficult to answer this question via an Instagram Post I’m sure on one thing, politics is something I decided to pursue and take seriously the moment I realised that many young people were underrepresented. I understand the importance of creating more policies that represent marginalised communities and low-income families and without politicians who sincerely care about people and real lives we will forever be voting in political parties and eventually voting them out.

So, the answer I can give you is that I’m still determined to be an elected Member of Parliament and I know sooner rather than later that will be the case so what I would ask from you is to sit tight, follow my journey and when the time comes, give me a tick in the ballot box 🗳️ taken in London, United Kingdom by @jaydetedwards
