My beautiful Bella. ❤️

Your final year of primary school. I honestly can’t believe how quickly the years have flown by.

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt watching you grow, it’s that strength comes in so many different forms. And Bella, you have a strength within you that I admire more than you’ll ever know.

Not everything has come easily to you. You’ve faced challenges, you’ve had moments of frustration, and you’ve had to work harder at things that seem to come naturally to others. But the one thing that has always stood out to me is you never give up. You keep showing up, you keep trying, and you keep finding your way.

And while I’m incredibly proud of your determination and resilience, it’s the person you are that makes my heart burst the most.

Your kindness. Your compassion. Your beautiful emotional intelligence. The way you understand people, the way you feel things so deeply, and the way you care about those around you. You have a gift that can’t be taught in a classroom. ❤️

School grades will never define you. Neither will the things you find difficult. What defines you is your heart, your character, your courage and the way you treat others.

As you prepare to close this chapter and head off to high school, I hope you always remember that you don’t have to be like anyone else. Being Bella is more than enough.

I’m so incredibly proud of the young girl you are and the young woman you’re becoming.

Keep being kind. Keep being brave. Keep believing in yourself. And most importantly, never lose that beautiful heart of yours.

Beautiful kitchens don’t happen by accident. They happen by design.

One of the things I notice immediately when I walk into a showroom isn’t just what appliances have been chosen… it’s how they’ve been integrated.

Take these two examples.

✨ The side-by-side Gaggenau ovens with opposing left and right-hand hinges. Such a simple decision, yet it completely transforms the experience. Both doors open away from the centre, giving you unrestricted access to each oven. It feels intuitive, balanced and incredibly luxurious. It’s a small detail that has a huge impact on how the kitchen functions every day.

✨ The combi microwave oven positioned above the main oven. Ergonomically, it’s spot on. The combi microwave sits at a comfortable height for everyday use, while the main oven remains low enough to safely lift heavier dishes in and out. It looks elegant, but more importantly, it works beautifully.

These are the conversations that often get missed when planning a kitchen.

We spend months choosing colours, benchtops and cabinetry, yet the appliances are the pieces you’ll physically interact with every single day.

* Which way should the oven door hinge?
* Is the microwave at a safe, comfortable height?
* Can two people use the appliances at once?
* Will this layout still work in 10 or 20 years?

The best kitchens aren’t simply beautiful—they’re effortless to live in.

That’s why I believe appliance planning should never be an afterthought. When it’s done well, you don’t notice it… you simply enjoy living in your kitchen every single day.

It’s the details you don’t think about today that you’ll appreciate for years to come.

Alfresco kitchens can appear simple, but technically they are often one of the most complex spaces in a home.

Projects like this show how many elements need to align behind the scenes 👉🏼 appliance output, structural limitations, ventilation performance and strict gas codes here in Western Australia. @qasairrangehoods

When rangehood planning is considered early, these elements can be designed into the space rather than solved later!

Extraction is often one of the least considered, yet it’s one of the most important appliances in the entire kitchen.

You can choose the most beautiful induction cooktop on the market…

But if the extraction isn’t designed correctly, performance suffers.

Here’s what actually needs consideration:

• Rangehood depth (280mm won’t cut it)
• Clearance from cooktop to overheads
• Distance to underside of the hood
• Cooktop size + zone configuration
• Ducting pathway and exit strategy

And here’s the part that matters:

Every one of these elements is adjustable,
but only if you understand how they affect each other.

You can’t select induction in isolation.
Ventilation, cabinetry, and clearances must move with it.

Too many high-end kitchens are compromised because extraction was treated as an afterthought.

Let’s get this right from the beginning.
