There, and back again.

In between medical appointments this week I ended up travelling a circular route through Kings Norton, Druids Heath and Kings Heath and back again. With no real time constraints I naturally took a little time here and there to grab a few phone pix, just to scratch that itch.

I’m elsewhere next week, so till next time, namaste 🙏🏻

Miscreants

During my time off work I’ve been playing with the free version of an app called Glitch Lab. It’s quite fun deconstructing images and remaking them into something else. I think it works terrifically well on black and white images where you can add layers of colour to enhance the overall weirdness 🤓

Saturday in Northfield

________________________________________

Collecting my prescription from Northfield today I was in a good mood. Northfield doesn’t do much to gladden the heart but I was still basking in the glow of a fine #avfc away win at Spuds. This put me in a perfect mood to snap a few pix before my bus arrived.

Going local

_________________________________________

I’ve spent a lot of the last fortnight shuttling between medical appointments. In health terms I’m a work in progress, my meds have finally worked but, I’m also a bit of space cadet. The antihistamines I’m on are also used as an anti-anxiety treatment so, as you may imagine, I haven’t a care in the world 🤪

In a repeat performance of last summer, I have been suffering from Chronic Hives (Urticaria) for weeks ad nauseum. I see my GP today for what I fervently hope will be the start of my road to understanding just WTAF is going on with me. Fingers crossed 🤞

Quite enjoying the challenges and community to be found within the ‘Or it didn’t happen’ app. I’m pretty new to it so, on my day off, I took the opportunity to have a go at the September photo hunt this morning. I had to curtail the walk because my back was giving me jip. Still, it was a fun and inclusive challenge.

All iPhone pix, lightly edited & cropped in mobile Lightroom.

York: So good they named it once.

Lovely little break up North visiting our youngest dottìr in the Yorktown. It’s fair to say that the weather has been interesting but, as always, York has been a grand old place to stay 🤩

Monday monologue

_______________________________________

It’s Monday and I’m back to my weekly routine after the extracurricular botanical frivolity from the weekend. It’s Monday and we’re back in monochrome, because that’s how we like it. Also, the iPhone noir filter (set to 0.7 underexposure) is bitchin’, so there’s that too🤓

Monday mono

______________________________________

So, on this Monday you find me writing in my new food diary. It’s a little weird writing it all down, each and every meal. But it turns out, I kinda need to. My body, in its old and decrepit state, has become intolerant and deeply discombobulated by ‘something’ that I’m eating. Ugh, it’s uncomfortable, complicated and seemingly senseless. But hopefully, in a few months time I’ll be eating better and feeling brighter 🤩

In the meantime, have some monochrome goodness, it’s gluten free and won’t impact your gut health 🤓
