Playing with a song idea.

It’s sun dress season! So many cute little dresses out right now. While I was dropping my kids off at camp this morning I watched a woman walk across the street in a full length sun dress and it occurred to me in that moment that I’ve mostly moved away from wearing dresses. I just don’t feel like myself in a dress. Give me a baggy t-shirt and I’ll wear the crap out of it! by @jaylharrison

Currently working on this.
"Dear Solstice" was written by Jay Harrison with moody and deep lyrics while Deren Atkins brings the Fingerstyle inspired riff with elements of slap percussion and harmonics.
We are currently recording music and hope to release this for you in the near future. by @jaylharrison

A sweet show of talented folks! I’ll be helping to run sound and recording the show for @midtownradiokw. I’m so grateful that @_samanthatai created Equalizer. It’s been a truly unique space for women and gender diverse folks to build music production skills. I can’t wait to see what we do next! by @jaylharrison

Catch me on @midtownradiokw Saturday January 17 at 11am for the first episode of a 5-part series on social infrastructure in Waterloo Region. This is a show that I produced and host!

Tune in to hear some very passionate people talk about the importance of spaces and organizations that foster social connection. In this series we highlight the critical role of libraries, town squares, schools, local media and community centers in supporting our growing region.

📻 Episodes will be released weekly on Saturdays at 11am on Midtown Radio and the Midtown Radio app and then wherever you get your podcasts on Sundays.

Thanks to @wrcommfdn for their support! Shoutout to my @midtownradiokw team! @ride_paddle_repeat @the.storylistener @david_harmes and Shrijith Ramaswami Community by Design: Exploring social infrastructure in Waterloo Region. Midtown Radio and Waterloo Region Community Foundation by @jaylharrison

“It’s not a revolution, it’s just rock n roll” @vintageplaygroundmusic was back at the Gruhn street porch party this year. The crowd refused to let them leave the stage without our favourite funky cover of No Diggity by @jaylharrison

Background research for a new show I’m producing with @midtownradiokw. We’ll be digging in to stories about the community hubs, havens and hangouts that form the social infrastructure of our region. Do you have a favourite book about community building or social connection? #waterlooregion #socialinfrastructure #joyexperiments #kitchener #waterloo by @jaylharrison
