Two friends: One shared passion for storytelling. Jay Harrison & Deren Atkins weave heartfelt vocals and elements of Fingerstyle, 2000s rock/emo vibes

Currently working on this.
"Dear Solstice" was written by Jay Harrison with moody and deep lyrics while Deren Atkins brings the Fingerstyle inspired riff with elements of slap percussion and harmonics.
We are currently recording music and hope to release this for you in the near future. by @thejoyrisk

This song actually had entirely different lyrics to start but that story never quite resonated with the beautiful fingerstyle track @scene2iq created. Eventually “Untied” emerged. A song about (slowly) letting go of protections against vulnerability. by @thejoyrisk

Original song.
Another fond memory from Counterpoint brewery open mic. This song was inspired by Don Ross/Antoine Dufour Fingerstyle (at the end, and in the intro, not captured in this clip) and blended with 2000s rock anthems. It also features Jay Harisson's stunning vocals. by @thejoyrisk
