Chasing Harlow
4.75⭐ 1.5🌶️

I pick up a book by this author occasionally, and she always knows how to break my heart and then put it back together. I loved this book, the characters, and the slow burn between Jace and Harlow. Their relationship was so heartwarming.

I have to say, I knew Jace was autistic from the beginning, and I was glad it was brought up because it made so much sense with how he struggled in social situations. His past absolutely broke me, and learning more about his grandfather’s struggles with his own health was heartbreaking. The guilt he carried over his daughter’s death was devastating, but I also felt like Jace’s father was struggling in his own way, just like Harlow.

Harlow’s mother is truly a despicable person. She did not deserve to have children, and when her father explained more about their past, it became clear that she was a narcissist who only cared about herself. Harlow’s dad may not have always been there when she needed him most, but he was a good father and became that support system for Jace too.

I loved the moments where Jace honoured Harley. It was beautiful to see how much that meant to Harlow. The hero video was another moment that completely broke me, and I don’t think I can mention it without getting emotional. Harlow lost a piece of herself when her brother died, and I loved seeing Jace help her find her way back and start putting her life back together.

This was such an emotional read, and I highly recommend picking up a book by this author if you haven’t already, especially if you enjoy stories that will make you cry.

❓What’s the last book that completely broke your heart?

Happy reading everyone! 📚💜

We want to announce that @jaymcleanauthor is the first author in the “Shattered Hearts” book box. We’re so grateful and honored that Jay let us feature The Pieces Duet. ⁣
⁣
This duet is emotional, angsty, and unforgettable. Jamie is that heroine that you just want to protect and hug. Holden is that hero that you love but also want to shake and tell him, “get it together!” If you haven’t read this duet, you definitely should pick it up! You’re going to love it so much.

🩵 Not Made to Last by @jaymcleanauthor 🩵

This book had me holding my breath the entire time…and I didn’t fully exhale until the epilogue 🥺

“Sometimes I wonder if that’s all life is. The constant search for that one person who gives you hope. Who inspires you. Someone you’re willing to wait years for, even when the outcome may not always be forever.”

If I had to describe this book in one line, it would be that quote.

Olivia and Rhys “meet” in the most unexpected way, but what makes their story unforgettable isn’t just that moment, it’s everything before and after.

✨Expect:
~ emotional, slow burn connection
~ secrets and reveals that will catch you off guard
~ timing that will frustrate you (It’s always THE TIMING😩)
~ characters you can’t stop rooting for

I went in blind, and I’m so glad I did. I had so many questions the entire time and couldn’t stop reading until I had all the answers, the tension was unreal.

It’s sweet, emotional, angsty, and full of heart, but it also dives deep into loneliness, depression, healing, family, and love in such a raw, honest way.

And don’t worry…it does give you that satisfying HEA🩵
