Like This, Read That !

Y’all know I am a sucker for reading books with similar tropes and feelings.

I know exactly what I like in my romance books and I typically don’t steer away from what I like. I have tried to branch out more this year but I always go back to what I love !

Are there any books here that you have a similar recommendation for ?

Dziś w #okBoomer, czyli #StareAleJare, chciałabym Wam przypomnieć książkę, przy której mam trochę żalu do naszego rynku wydawniczego.

„Więcej niż my” Jay McLean, wydane u nas przez Wydawnictwo Kobiece.

A szkoda. Ogromna.

Historia Jake’a i Mikayli naprawdę zostaje w głowie.

Kto czytał „Więcej niż my”? 💜

September is over, and I read some amazing books this month! 😍

I wanted to share my September reads with you all, along with a little review of each one in the slides.

Have you read any of these? Let me know which ones, or if any are going on your TBR! 🩷🩷

This one really surprised me! I realized it was published back in 2022 and somehow I had never heard of this author before but I’m sooo happy I discovered her through this book!

Love & Panic by @romancebyraina is a really emotional romance that deals with some intense topics, including OCD, anxiety, depression, grief, and alcohol abuse. I thought Raina handled these topics really well, and I especially loved how much care went into developing Natalie’s journey.

The story follows Natalie, who has become increasingly isolated after a series of personal tragedies and struggles with severe anxiety and OCD. Then there’s Dean, a former pediatric surgeon who is dealing with his own grief, addiction, and a lot of emotional baggage. Their paths cross unexpectedly, and what starts as an unlikely friendship slowly develops into something more.

I really loved the contrast between them and how they both had to confront their own fears and pasts before they could really let themselves have a chance at love. There’s also plenty of banter, some very sweet moments, and just the right amount of humor to balance all the heavier parts.

I highly recommend this one if you like:
- slow burn
- grumpy × sunshine
- friends to lovers
- mutual dislike to lovers
- emotional romances
- characters working through difficult pasts
- good amount of angst with an HEA

⚠️ TW: anxiety, OCD, depression, grief/family loss, alcohol abuse, strong language.

Lucas by @jaymcleanauthor was such an emotional read. It’s part of the Preston Brothers series, where each book tells the story of one of the Preston brothers, and this one follows Lucas, the oldest.

I went into this one expecting a friends-to-lovers romance, but I definitely wasn’t prepared for how much this story would make me feel.

Lucas and Laney have been best friends since they were kids, and I absolutely loved watching their relationship grow over the years. There’s s

Pazienza :/
