Just wrapped up a week at the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, #UNGA81. and although jet lag and fatigue is definitely dealing with me after a manic week, I can’t help but reflect on what an extraordinary time it was.

A week surrounded by world leaders, policymakers, thought leaders, humanitarians, entrepreneurs, innovators and some of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever encountered, all coming together to discuss some of the world’s most pressing issues and, importantly what we actually intend to do about them.

What stayed with me wasn’t the polished speeches or fab events. It was seeing leaders challenged by their peers and those in the room to account for what they had achieved, what they intended to do next and how they planned to move things forward in the face of a rapidly changing world.

After the panels, the meetings, the luncheons and the handshakes, the work continues. Conversations without action only take us so far, and we all have an individual and collective part to play.

I’m grateful that the work I’ve built across healthcare, entrepreneurship, social housing and supporting sponsored workers through their settlement journey gave me the opportunity to contribute my own experiences and perspectives to conversations around housing, migration, health, health tech and the future of inclusive communities.

I left with new connections, new perspectives, a new appreciation for New York and the mindset of winners and change makers, and an even stronger reminder of why I started.

Sometimes you have to stop and look around.

Because where you’re standing today was once the goal.

Keep showing up.
Keep connecting.
Keep contributing.
Keep going. 🤍

When my family said they were celebrating me all month, they meant it. 🥹🥹🤎🤎

Couldn’t wrap up my birthday month and milestone celebrations without my heartbeats. Just cocooned in our little bubble, making the best and most wholesome half-term memories with my favourite people on the planet. Been off socials, savouring every second. Last day before reality hits, but I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to end such a special month I’ll never forget.

My heart is so full. Thank you all so much, my loves. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Your girl has been fully in her tourist bag and loving it. The Balinese people and culture are so beautiful 🥹🤎🙏🏽✨

Aside from making R&B videos with @davidd.undisputed, this trip has been rooted in peace, slow mornings, and a pace of life that turns the noise all the way down. There has been beauty in every corner. Even the warm rainfall brought my cortisol levels down, and for the first time in a long time, my mind, body, and spirit truly feel at ease.

Connecting with the locals, who are so humble, warm, and genuinely focused on the simplest joys in life, reminded me of what truly matters. Meeting new friends, having deep conversations, and embracing new adventures all felt both healing and expansive.

It made perfect sense why I felt called to come here, and why I needed to do it without a big group around me. Turning 40 and marking ten years in business in the same year feels deeply symbolic, a milestone that is both humbling and incredibly special.

The journey has demanded a level of growth and evolution I never could have anticipated. Similar to motherhood and marriage, entrepreneurship has birthed and moulded different parts of me in order to carry the mantle I’ve been given, even when I didn’t always feel equipped for it. But time and time again, I’ve seen that surrender is exactly where God does His best work. In the moments where I felt uncertain, stretched, or overwhelmed, His grace carried me further than my own strength ever could.

Sometimes isolation is necessary. It allows you to confront yourself honestly, close chapters that no longer serve you, and make peace with the parts of yourself that were waiting to be acknowledged. This stillness has brought clarity, gratitude, and a deeper connection to myself. The lead up to 40 had me questioning a lot.
But I realised every challenge wasn’t punishment, it was God’s perfect will unfolding.

For the first time in a long time, I’m not only grateful for the journey so far, but genuinely excited for the results of the reset. by @jaynedoherty_

As you guys know i rarely post but yesterday i got to celebrate my beautiful wife and best friend turning 40. Quite surreal when I’ve been celebrating her birthdays since she was 16. That means we’ve technically been together longer than we’ve been apart in our lives, which I consider such a huge blessing. God has definitely been faithful. It’s unbelievable at times to think we went from dating as teenagers to now having a 20-year-old and pre-teens of our own that we’re raising together.

If you know my wife personally, you know you don’t meet her and forget the encounter. She’s on fire for God, her family/friends, her businesses, and just levelling up in general. Not to mention she lights up every room she walks into and makes people feel seen through her way with people. So much so that when you leave her presence, you just want to do better and be better in every way. And she’ll be the first to tell you her story how she did this, overcame that, and how God saved her through it all.

Over the years, I’ve watched her open her heart and be a blessing to so many whether it’s cooking up a storm, making our home a safe place for friends and family, pouring into our charity, our staff, our children, our extended family, and most importantly, me. I couldn’t be more proud to call her mine.

Such a prayer warrior, pillar of our family, superwoman, kind, thoughtful, selfless, loving and lets not forget always glamorous. But don’t try crossing her or coming for anyone she loves… you’ll learn the hard way.

This birthday trip, celebrating four decades of your light and impact, has been special and what you deserve if not more. My prayer is that God continues to reveal Himself in your life and that your wildest dreams and greatest desires come to pass, because through you, so many others are blessed.

Thank you all so much for all the birthday love, well wishes, prayers, voice notes, memory compilations, calls, and messages (I’m still responding, so please bear with me 🫶🏽). I’ve honestly been celebrating all month, and I’m so grateful for my incredible tribe and for everyone who sent well wishes on here. It’s been the warmest welcome to the 4th floor and from what I’ve been told and can already see the best decade yet by Gods grace. Im so excited to see what it holds.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

If I’m being honest with you…

most people don’t struggle with networking because they’re not capable.
They struggle because they don’t show up as themselves.

I’ve been in rooms where I felt like I had to prove something.
And I’ve been in rooms where I realised — I already belonged.

The difference wasn’t the room.
It was how I showed up.

You don’t need to talk the most.
You don’t need to impress anyone.
You don’t need to shrink to be accepted.

Be clear on what you bring.
Be curious about others.
Follow up when it matters.
And always, always lead with value.

That’s how real connections are built.

You belong in that room.
Act like it.
