One of the things I’ve enjoyed most over the last 6 years has been creating the Everyday Leadership Podcast.

It started as a space for honest conversations.

Conversations with brilliant people, many of whom began as strangers and became friends.

People who were willing to share what they have lived, learned, carried, overcome, and become.

The kind of insight you cannot research.

The kind of wisdom that only comes from experience.

Across 250+ episodes, we’ve spoken about leadership, family, faith, business, parenting, racism, equity, inclusion, mindset, founder life, identity, pressure, growth, and so much more.

And through it all, one thing has stayed true:

Leadership is not about a title.

It is about how you lead yourself, how you show up for others, and who you become in the process.

There’s something really special about seeing women come together like this.

The conversations, the laughter, the honesty, the support… it was such a beautiful reminder that the right room can do so much for you.

If I’m being honest with you…

most people don’t struggle with networking because they’re not capable.
They struggle because they don’t show up as themselves.

I’ve been in rooms where I felt like I had to prove something.
And I’ve been in rooms where I realised — I already belonged.

The difference wasn’t the room.
It was how I showed up.

You don’t need to talk the most.
You don’t need to impress anyone.
You don’t need to shrink to be accepted.

Be clear on what you bring.
Be curious about others.
Follow up when it matters.
And always, always lead with value.

That’s how real connections are built.

You belong in that room.
Act like it.

I didn't spend ten years building a career just to stay still; I spent ten years building the foundation for what’s coming next.

Stepping into the Glow Mama Awards tonight felt like the perfect celebration of this new chapter.
Transitioning from a decade in one lane into the 40 by 40 project has been a whirlwind, but nights like this remind me why it’s worth it. It’s not about leaving the past behind—it’s about taking everything I’ve learned and finally applying it to my own vision.
Being in a room full of women who are "glowing" because they’re following their own path was exactly the energy I needed.
