🥺 SIR KEV'S reaction when he received a message from his mate ROB BURROW, after being awarded an #OBE in 2021....

"I’m absolutely made up for Kevin and his OBE. Some people leave rugby league and they are never talked about again. Some leave a lasting impression on the sport. Nobody will be talked about more than him from the modern era. Not only was he amazing in his performance, but a role model for the next generation. People who don’t know rugby league have heard of Kevin Sinfield. He is probably the most famous player of recent times. And I am lucky enough to call him a good friend. He’s stood by my side on the pitch and he continues to be with me through my toughest opponent. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than my mate. Next step is a knighthood. I would love nothing more than to call you Sir Kevin Sinfield!"

🏉 REMINISCENT of our very own, beloved ROB BURROW.... 💔

TEARS flowed as JAI ARROW made his 100th appearance for #Australian #RugbyLeague's South Sydney Rabbitohs @SSFCRabbitohs, authorised by the @NRL.

JAI, a 31-year-old father of one, was diagnosed with #MND in May.

THE 40,000 spectators sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" 😢

OUR #MND hero is bringing it home, to the rugby league heartlands of the North!

SIR KEV leaves #Hull on the 27th arriving #OldTrafford the following Saturday for the @SuperLeague Grand Final, AND, poignantly, where him and his @LeedsRhinos mate ROB BURROW won SEVEN times!

🥹 SUCH a heartwarming watch on last night's @bbcnews North West Tonight.

Patrick has cerebral palsy and completed seven GCSE's over five months using #eyegaze technology, inspired after seeing the late Rob Burrow, who had #MND, narrating an episode of #CBeebies Bedtime Stories.... ❤️

The #RugbyLeague legend's inspirational legacy lives on.

🏉 It's to raise awareness of the @LeedsRhinos' legend's seventh and final annual challenge to raise awareness and funds for the motor neuron disease #MND community; our Knight in Shining Armour!

⚔️ Sir Kevin: “It is a fantastic gesture to dedicate such a prestigious race at the Ebor meeting to promote the #7in7TheGrandFinale challenge. The city of #York holds so many special memories for the #7in7 team from a number of challenges over the last six years and we are delighted to be returning on the second day of this years challenge at the end of September. Any chance to show our support for the #MND community and raise awareness is wonderful and I am looking forward to joining everyone on the day."
