6x Senior British Champion! (Record for British men)

🏆 2026, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2011 🏆

It’s been one crazy ride and apparently it’s still going! 🥴
Would not be back doing this sport if it weren’t for the incredible community of people I have around me! I’ve been overwhelmed by the love and support from people around me! Believing in me even when I don’t believe in myself!

There are honestly too many people to even begin to tag everyone!

(Also putting up with my mood swings and my 18 withdrawals this week 😂)

Big shout out to @jayscoo @zoebrookes4 @rejuven8physio and @liverpooltga @altiusgymnastics_ for helping put this old body back together ❤️

The shear amount of people that showed up from all over the country last night to honour the phenomenal career of @susan.bramble was a testament to her legacy in itself! 🌟

Great Britain Trampoline is strong, connected and supportive community and it’s because of leadership, dedication and experience from people like Sue! 🇬🇧

Sue has impacted so many lives for the better in her 50 years in our sport! The community raised you up last night and said THANK YOU!! Just like you have raised so many for so long!! 🫡

I feel very blessed to call you a friend! And one of my very best at that!!! Thank you for teaching me that no matter what “we drink champagne” …the meaning behind that little saying of ours is that no matter what happens in the comp we celebrate being alive, we live in each moment & we do so in style!! 🙏🏼

2025 British Championships in one word PROUD

I am proud of our community in Trampoline (TRA SYN DMT TUM DIS)! We support one another to the exclusion of personal gains or club allegiances whilst maintaining the competitive spirit sport is all about!

Proud of @zoebrookes4 & her journey navigating motherhood & helping both gymnasts and coaches achieve excellence! So many phenomenal results! I was very proud to see you up there as coach of the Senior British Champion!

@maxmiddleton10 WOW!! From the shy little boy we had to convince to come through the doors to DOUBLE SENIOR BRITISH CHAMPION!! And we’re just at the start!! What you have overcome this year most will never know but I now know we have our next warrior well on his way!! 🥇 🥇

The man who doesn’t say much but when he does it has big impact - Dan G - congratulations on a fantastic BCh! I’m PROUD of everything we’ve built and are building!

@aaronsheehan the serial deliverer! I’m proud of the opportunities you’ve given people and the persistence with every gymnast you work with!!

I don’t often mention juniors by name but I’m going to make an exception for one who is in her last junior year! Sophie Jo’s consistency to stand up and deliver 3 out 4 possible Junior British titles in recent years whilst dealing with all the usual teenage drama make me Proud!! I am excited for your transition to the Senior ranks! Keep working hard…. The dress rehearsal has been great, now let’s get ready for showtime!! @trampolining_sophx

@j.canning03 2/2 Proud of the man you are!

The word proud doesn’t cover how I feel about the team at @liverpooltga everyone that was there last weekend and those holding the fort back home - love you guys!!

Lastly the person I am most proud of from last weekend is the other half of the 2025 Senior British Synchro Champions @luke_strong2 to have the courage to get back out there after so long out of the sport makes me PROUD! It wasn’t what we wanted but how you responded and the plan moving towards is exciting! Onwards and upwards!

Fun Fact: Max was the 3rd person Luke won the Senior British synchro title with & Luke’s 10th Senior British Title… & counting #NotDoneYet taken in Telford International Centre by @jayscoo

I officially turned 40 at 22:32 on July 9th 2024. The 32 minutes are note worthy as 4 decades earlier my amazing dad just missed last orders at the Carters because of my first of many late arrivals!

My 40th birthday started on 8.4.23! Luke and I went shopping for his 30th bday present from me & true to my only child form we somehow ended up leaving with his 30th and my 40th presents to eachother in the bag!! …I was set up to be on time at least once in the coming 772 days of celebration… 🤔

For the rest of 2023 I happily let my favourite person on this planet, take front and centre so that we and all our loved ones could celebrate his 30th trip around the sun! We walked up a mountain to see Machu Piccu, travelled Central America, visited old pals in the states & cruised the Caribbean!

Friday August 2nd 2024!! A night to remember for everyone that was there at the 4th place party!!! 🥳

Rewind… to May 2024. To my gorgeous mum who guides me every single day! …I bought her a sphinx cat for her 60th! She didn’t want it! We kept the cat… she then bought 2 & to keep up and Venus company we’ve just bought another!!

Onto the big day Tuesday July 9th 2024… Wimbledon QF day, from the Treehouse to Court No1 watching the eventual champion Alcaraz

Fast forward past the Olympics and onto Egypt where we hired a riverboat for a week of celebrating with almost all my favourite people!! We thought we had enough Champagne to fill the Nile but Sue and I, true to form, drank us dry half way through!

I thought my official celebrations ended on 22nd August 2024 but there was one more surprise in store… I feel truly blessed that I stared coaching so young and the first group kids that I was kid coaching are now my friends, family and loved ones!! …Sophia Singleton-Scott sprung a final flurry on me whisking me off to my spiritual home… Champagne for a belated surprise 40th present!! 🍾🥂

What a year (or 2) my 40th trip around the sun was! Thank you to everyone that helped me celebrate! I love you all & am grateful for you all everyday!!!

6 YEARS LATER!! 🥹😭🙌🏻

It’s been a wild ride these last few years filled with so many lows and setbacks! 5 surgeries on my knee and ankle and too many lonely rehab sessions to count and I finally got to put on a leotard again and do what I love, which I had accepted would never happen again for me!

In 2020 my ankle doctor told me there was nothing more he could do for me medically which then led to me being removed from national squad funding!

Throughout 2020 I battled with my mental health and suicidal thoughts, feeling so ashamed and embarrassed about my gymnastic career and not making it to the Tokyo games! In the end I had to prioritise my mental health and walk away from the sport!

But thankfully @jayscoo stood by my side through the devastating lows and picked up the pieces and supported me in every way to become a healthier and happier person!

Thank you so much to @liverpooltga for supporting me medically, allowing me to have numerous scans and operations with great surgeons to be able to have the opportunity to train again!

There have been too many people involved in this journey to even thank but @zoebrookes4 @jayscoo @danmccaffrey97 and Dan Greaves for the coaching and programmes these last few months and for believing in me and this journey, even on the days when I don’t believe in myself ❤️
Family, friends and teammates ❤️ @kez2611 top dog Auntie!

Lastly a huge thank you to @stevenwilliams.et for getting this old body strong again (kind of)

Grateful to Matt at @r4p_uk for helping put me back together these last few years! 🙌🏻

I may never be the athlete I was but I’m so proud of the person I am now and everything I’ve been through to get to this point! Onwards and upwards 🤞🏼 taken in Telford International Centre by @jayscoo

When one chapter ends it’s both sad and exciting simultaneously! Sad because we feel a sense of loss but exciting because new opportunities are on the horizon! Sometimes these two emotions can over shadow the best one of all… GRATITUDE!! I ask myself often “what am I grateful for today” and today I a most certainly Grateful for Alex Bradshaw!! As @alex hangs his leotard up for the last time I look back at amazing 8 years filled with ups, downs, Hi5’s, tiers and laughter!!

I feel totally honoured to have had the opportunity to work with you all these years Alex!!

The fact that you kept going and kept going and kept going to achieve the milestone of representing GBR at senior level in an era where opportunity has been so sparse was inspiring!! Congratulations on becoming a full GB Senior at this years Europeans, qualifying to the Semi Final in 20th spot from qualifying & competing in the Team Final!

Shout out to all the clubs, coaches, squad people and team members that contributed to Alex’s journey along the way! I had the privilege of helping at the business end! All the senior medals, selections & big skills would not have been possible without you all!! Withins (Lynda), Bury (June), Salford (Steve & Woody), GBR & of course our amazing team at Liverpool!! Dan, Zoe, Ste, Dan Mc, Matt, June (again), Aaron🙌🏾🫶🏾✌🏾

High level sport is often a selfish place but Alex you were different! You were able to achieve lots of your dreams being opposite! It was astonishing how you were able to support and celebrate your team mates selection’s & achievements when you put in the same effort (or more) and had to wait so so long for your chance!! A very classy act!!

Thank you for positively contributing to the team every single day! Thank you for your selflessness! But most of all Thank you for being a great guy!

I wish you well in all your future endeavours & am confident that you’ll be a success in anything you do!!

Thanks for the memories kid!

What a year 2024 has been & rounded off with a British Championships to remember!

Thank you to all the gymnasts for being fearless &/or facing your fears! You all rocked!!

Thanks to the coaches who rally together like ive never known! Our community is as stronger than the sum total of its parts when we work together!! Long may that continue!!

Finally to all the ancillary staff, judges and volunteers! Thank you for giving your time so generously and making it happen!

I stared trampolining in 1994 and it’s been my life ever since!! I feel privileged to be part of the GB Trampoline community & look forward to the next 30 years!!

While the results are always great the stories behind the results are what make sport so special so here’s a couple people might not know….

Biz Scales has attended every edition of the British Championships for 59 years in a row!! What an incredible service to our sport!!

Zak Perzamanos was “strongly advised” to withdraw from the event due to severe bruising to his fat pad in his left heel! …Not Zak! Warrior! Not only did he compete but he refused to downgrade further than our planned minimum routine & chose to compete his quad tuck individually and in synch!

Corey Walkes became the 1st Brit to compete Quad Pike (16 - - - 1 >)
Corey and Zak became the first people IN THE WORLD to compete a quad in synch! (We think??) certainly the first Brits! Corey and Zak were the 1st quads at British and the 2nd / 3rd time competed by a Brit after Jack Helme the Sheffield invitational circa early 2010’s!

Jamie Canning was the 1st Brit to compete 8 4 1 <

Alice Feazey-Noble won Bronze in Ladies Synchro, Alice is 27, is an NHS doctor and up until a few years ago was a recreational bouncer! She absolutely loves trampolining and when asked what do you want to achieve she said ‘I would love to compete at a British’ YOU DID IT AL!! And only went and won a bloody medal!! 🥉

Thanks to @britishgymnasticsofficial for providing tea, coffee and a few chairs for coaches this year! Like the venue it’s not where we need to be BUT the effort was clear to see and was appreciated & a step in the right direction! by @jayscoo
