@breakingdarknessfest 2026 is in the books, and wow, what a special experience. Great music and a great cause front to back, and I got to meet some of the acts (pictured: @autumn_eve_music and @convictionsband) after the sets, which is always awesome. Will be deaf for about 4 days but totally worth it. by @jb_manz

Had the distinct privilege of meeting @flyleaf and seeing them perform live. It was nothing short of a surreal, incredible night. Thank you. For all of it. Thank you. by @jb_manz

I don’t know if I can explain this well enough, so comment if you can do it better!

Training is a shared experience.
It’s an activity that helps you and your partner grow.

Where you are literally fighting each other and also being the best partner you can be.

Weirdly enough, that training creates a space for connection and that connection is a choice.

A choice to see the other person as a vessel for help and growth to touch hands at the end of the session and appreciate them for their willingness.

Or to see them as a means to an end. An animated punching bag that exists for you to practice on.

If you see people as the latter, you can skip trying our classes.

We’re here to build strength, confidence, resilience, and community. Encouragement isn’t a bonus, it’s ingrained.

Black belt weekend 2026 is an experience I'll never forget. To everyone who participated, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is an honor to have walked this path with you. by @jb_manz

Joe meet Joe; Joe, Joe.

Got to rock out to @seventhdayslumber , @officialmagdalenerose @ignitingthesky, and @saving_darkness at @groundzerovenue last night. Met the artists afterwards and everyone was as cool and friendly as could be. Definitely worth coming out to see them on tour if you can. by @jb_manz

Happy 2026! We kicked it off with a class courtesy of our very own Matt @vernchallender 😅

He’s a class act - we don’t know what class but we love it!

Here’s to a great year on the mats!

Hard Ready 10, the grand finale, is in the books. Not only did I learn a ton, but the highlight for me is always reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new people who are a part of this community. A big thank you to all of the coaches and contributors that made this weekend a truly special one. by @jb_manz

A well earned and huge congratulations to fellow mat warrior and battle buddy @mr.freddie.g on earning his purple belt this evening! It's been a privilege to train with you and to witness this milestone on your journey. #bjj #brazilianjiujitsu #jiujitsu #purplebelt #oss by @jb_manz

Finished a fantastic seminar with leg lock wizard @vinny_the_grappler. Thanks for coming out, and check out his stuff on @bjj.fanatics!

Also, I guess I'm back on IG, but that's not as important as leg locks.

Alright Instagramers, I'm going to be off this platform for a bit. I've found myself distracted lately and needing to refocus on what's important, and, frankly, Instagram is not on the list. If you need me, reach out on FB or phone. I'll probably be back one day, but for now, peace out. by @jb_manz
