Most ecom owners think the fix for bad Google Ads results is more budget.

Most often it’s the opposite. Signs you might be wasting money:

🚩 Clicks but no conversions

🚩 Your Search Terms Report is full of junk. This is the report showing what people actually typed before clicking your ad.

🚩 Google’s auto recommendations running everything. Google wants you to spend more. They don’t care about your goals

🚩 A landing page slower than your competitors. You can win the click and still lose the sale before the page loads.

None of these get fixed by increasing budget. All of them get cheaper to fix the earlier you catch them. by @jbmktgads

A 50p click that does not convert is more expensive than a £5 click that does.

Stop optimising for the wrong metric. ROAS is king in ecommerce.

Campaign structure is the foundation for ecommerce. Get it wrong and everything else falls apart.

Save this for when you set up your next Shopping or Search campaign.

Most Google Ads copy is painfully generic.
