Spent today tightening up our onboarding at JB Marketing.

The goal for the new flow? Zero friction. A portal that takes a client from "just signed" to "fully integrated" in record time.

Boring work. Massive leverage.

Most ecom owners think the fix for bad Google Ads results is more budget.

Most often it’s the opposite. Signs you might be wasting money:

🚩 Clicks but no conversions

🚩 Your Search Terms Report is full of junk. This is the report showing what people actually typed before clicking your ad.

🚩 Google’s auto recommendations running everything. Google wants you to spend more. They don’t care about your goals

🚩 A landing page slower than your competitors. You can win the click and still lose the sale before the page loads.

None of these get fixed by increasing budget. All of them get cheaper to fix the earlier you catch them.

Broad match used to be a budget burner. But Google's AI has gotten better.

Your competitor probably has Google Ads running right now. They're also probably wasting money on it. The fact that everyone can do it means almost nobody's doing it right. That gap? That's where you build an edge. Stop waiting for the 'perfect' strategy. Start executing better than 99% of people who try.

Googles AI Ad extensions can be a nightmare to control but luckily there's a hidden(ish) setting you can use to disable them at the account level
