Authentic thoughts here.🧠 When does a for-profit💸 race organization balance financial gain and merit 🤝 for sport? Is @ironmantri balancing their own financial gain and the long term success of the sport? Personally, red flags🚩🚩 went up when I saw @affirm financing options for race entries. Please like, share, and comment your thoughts. #ironman #ironman70.3 #enduranceracing #athlete by @jburishtri
Last few outdoor runs before the snow sets in.❄️ Autumn in the mountains hits different.🍁🍂⛰️🏔️ #triathlon #running #utah #ironman #trailrunningcommunity by @jburishtri
Just another day on the mountain.🫎 It is such a gift to see wildlife while outside exercising. With housing and land developments popping up around Utah, it is becoming rare to see these beautiful creatures. For those who are scared of moose, just know that if you respect their space, they will respect you. Keep your dogs on leash and go about your day. #utah #parkcity #mountainbiking #thattriathlonlife #outdoors by @jburishtri

Fall.🍁🍂 It’s our favorite time of the year to ride. Fewer weekend tourists, less traffic, more quiet time, and bliss. #utah #cycling #autumn #triathlon #fitness by @jburishtri
We incorporated lots of hiking into our training this year. Great strength and cardio booster at high altitude. Lovely views and lovely company.🏔️❤️ #parkcity #utah #hiking #outdoors by @jburishtri
A summer of exploration.🏔️ Lots of miles and vertical feet traveled, mostly done with a smile (occasionally a grimace).😬 #cycling #utah #triathlon #hiking #mountainbiking by @jburishtri
Adventure day on the mountain. Can’t get enough of these aspens.🍂🍁💛 Love sharing these moments with @stevenschmaedeke . Time to upgrade the camera setup. Sorry for the crappy footage.😅 #utah #triathlon #mountainbike by @jburishtri
2026 Brineman Olympic Distance Triathlon. 1st AG, 2nd OA. Another PB swim (1:24/100) and good tactics in the water. Biked to the front of the race and held the lead for 10 minutes before Micah passed me. Pushed decent power (270NP) but wasn’t enough to hang on Micah’s wheel. Ran a solid 10k off the bike and tried to put in one last surge to move up closer to the lead, but didn’t stand a chance. Really happy with the race and consistency over each discipline. Takeaways: The bike has to be better. I was around 300W for an hour last year at this same race. While the bike volume was solid, I didn’t put in enough big-gear/VO2 work. For 2027, I am eyeing some bigger races (@gotriutah series, 70.3, and my first IM). Lots of work to be put into swim, bike, run. But first….. we ski ⛷️🎿❄️ Thanks @gotriutah @daamaamodt for a great season! by @jburishtri
