Happy #marbledmpnday !
This Monday I wanted to make a slightly different post about the practice that I keep every night. I make between two and three books to keep up with holiday orders; I truly love the practice of binding books. As you can see from this video, I made quite a few last night and I’ll continue making that many almost for the rest of the week to keep up with orders, but if I can point out one thing, there are thousands of us who take pride in our craftsmanship and art practice across the country. For some of us, making is just a release, for some of us It’s a business and for some of us it’s a necessity. Please support your local maker community and Artist community this season and every season.

✨ Make the holidays more colorful with Marbled Ornaments! ✨

⏰ 1- 5 PM
📋 Saturday, November 14
📍Gallery 202 located at
1300 W 78th St Ste 202, Cleveland, OH 44102
$65 per student; all supplies included!!

Discover the ancient art of marbling in this fun, hands-on holiday workshop. Experiment with swirling inks, vibrant color combinations, and traditional Ebru and contemporary techniques as you create one-of-a-kind designs on wood and other ornament-like objects.

Marbling involves floating inks on a thickened water bath, then using tools and gestures to shape them into beautiful patterns. Your design is printed onto your chosen surface—like monoprinting, but with wonderfully unpredictable results!

Beginners and intermediate artists are welcome—no previous marbling experience is needed. We’ll start with a thorough introduction and demonstrations, then dive into making, experimenting, and discovering. All materials, a variety of ornaments, and all tools needed to complete several finished objects are included in the workshop price.

🎨 Space is limited to approximately 8 students. Refreshments and snacks🥨 🍿🧃🧋provided at the gallery. We can’t wait to see what you create! by @jc_marbling

Exciting news! A new batch of pens has arrived for our writing collection. Yes, we have a collection that includes marble pencils, a seven-colored marbled pencil, calligraphy pens and nibs for ink drawing, and a sleek ballpoint pen. These tools truly bring our pages to life and open up new creative spaces in our books. Come check them out!

Definitely feeling the fall production in the marbling studio. Several sheets of paper were made last in the studio and definitely feeling like I’m getting in the creative zone. What color would you recommend for the the next marble paper?

It is a big production day in the studio, but took some time out for fun. You can definitely see the change in season in northeast Ohio and one of my favorite activities is dipping pressed🍁.

Just in time for book 📕 season (all seasons are really book seasons), new wood marbled bookmarks.

4 3/4” tall
1 1/4” wide
Nylon tassel
Coated with an acrylic-based glaze that is water-safe and non-toxic.

A marbled wood bookmark is a one-of-a-kind object. This is carefully dipped in our marbling bath, and the visible print is a one-time print. Printed with pH-neutral inks that are lightfast.

These make perfect gifts!🎁 by @jc_marbling
