FIRST RIDE. NEW MACHINE. PURE CONNECTION. 🚴‍♂️⚡

There’s nothing like the first ride on a new bike. Every pedal stroke, every corner, every shift is a chance to understand the machine and discover what it can do.

Dialing in the handling, feeling the frame respond, testing the gearing, and learning how the bike transfers power to the road. Then comes the downhill… when everything clicks, the bike feels planted, the speed builds, and suddenly you’re not just riding — you’re GLIDING. 🏁

This is what I love about cycling. It’s the perfect combination of engineering, physics, precision, and pure passion. The more you ride, the more you understand the machine beneath you.

The first ride is never just a ride. It’s the beginning of a new relationship between rider, machine, and road.

LESS THINKING. MORE FEELING. LET THE BIKE FLY. 🔥

🚴‍♂️ NEW BIKE, SAME PASSION.

Sometimes, the excitement of getting a new bike is too much to wait for a complete build. So, I bought mine unbuilt and had to find a shop I could trust to put it together right. That meant taking a trip to New Jersey to visit old friends and the owners of Maplewood Bike Shed. 🤝

And I’m glad I made the trip!

🔧 Jose, an excellent bicycle mechanic, got my new bike built and ready to ride the very same day. Professional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and competitive prices — exactly what every cyclist hopes to find.

🙌 Jazmin made the experience even better with her warm hospitality, making me feel less like a customer and more like family.

Big thanks to Jose, Jazmin, and the entire Maplewood Bike Shed family for an unmatched experience. It’s always special when great service comes from people you’ve known for years.

Support your local bike shops. Support the people who keep cycling culture alive. It’s not just about the bike; it’s about the people behind it. ❤️

10/9 — MESSENGER APPRECIATION DAY 🚲🖤

Once a messenger, always a messenger.

I don’t ride the streets for work anymore, but a part of me will always belong to that life. The countless winter days battling the cold, racing against the clock, delivering through the chaos of NYC, and sharing the streets with friends who became family.

The alley cats, the events, the laughs, the struggles, and the memories made on two wheels — those days helped shape who I am.

The job may be behind me, but the love for the culture never left. Respect to every messenger still out there putting in the work, in every kind of weather.

The streets taught us. The bike united us. The memories stay forever.

Happy 10/9 Messenger Appreciation Day. Respect to the past, present, and future of the messenger community. 🖤

Only 36 miles for the weekend, but not every ride is about distance. 🚴‍♂️

Today was about slowing down, enjoying the views, taking in the city, and stopping along the way to capture a few photos and videos. 📸🎥

Some rides are about speed. Others are about the memories you make along the way.

Today, I chose the memories. ✌️🚴‍♂️🌆
