My grandfather introduced me to John Sturges “Magnificent Seven” and it has lived in me since as a strong memory and point of reference and cowboy lesson in kindness (though I get to be nasty :). To get to imagine and play in a stable of truth machines and badasses is a living dream. Deep thanks to @mgmplus and my team (@juliaxbuchwald @vickiepetronioking @bsmitty821 ) for getting me back on the saddle! Lets go. by @jclosefaction

Pulling fave moments for a little directing reel and wanted to share a few. Seems the recurring themes are two handers, characters in mirrors, familial vs. familiar… really all about love tho. Can’t wait to try out film. Just ain’t the same. 1. Short On Love. 2. Nomad 3. 123… You Please. 4. Astonishing, Man. by @jclosefaction

Yes b’y! Thank you @jesse.mckeown for writing and creating some serious magic on the rock, with a stunning cast and crew and team who left it on the field. Thank you @netflixca @netflix for making it possible. And if you haven’t been to newfoundland…top of list. “Noseworthy” for Prime Minister. That’s a wrap. by @jclosefaction

Excited to wrap up and soon share a short film written / directed by myself and stitched together with friends and love. Here’s a few stills. The intention was to explore our relationship to silence and how we fill it, use it, and project into it. Made with pennies and favors, I wanted to also experiment with a Dogma95-esque style , shooting on a 95$ mini dv with minimal everything. It was a quick labor of love. Thank you to my amazing friends/collaborators @cherylpickles @arrri_b @benhardwicke @drewnelly @elyse_levesque @nicholesakura @alsgro @tatianamaslany @brendanhines @babyorngtn @maxmagpie by @jclosefaction

Wayward starts up on @netflix @netflixca today. So blown away by what @hooraymae has created and how they’ve juggled such a lived in performance while scribing and sculpting so furiously with their uber talented, badass collaborators. To play “Duck” alongside some of my new faves and insanely talented up-and-comers, plus the one and only @toni_collette_official … lucky fn Duck. Go binge. by @jclosefaction
